ChAIR Entertainment has dropped the latest entry in its popular sword-fighting action game, Infinity Blade III, down to just $1 for the holidays. Typically listed at $6.99, this is the lowest we have seen the game go for by $2. At $10 for the entire Trilogy, today’s deal is still a better value than the previous Black Friday bundle by more than $2.
Widely regarded as some of the best mobile games out there, the Infinity Blade series brings together “adrenaline-fueled” action with some of the best visuals on the platform. As the epic conclusion for the three part series, IB3 introduces a new playable character as well as a more fine tuned experience overall within a much larger, dynamic 3D world. Along with voice work from famous actor Troy Baker (BioShock, The Last of Us, Far Cry 4, COD: Advanced Warfare, Batman Arkham, many more), it has the “most detailed story scenes ever shown” on mobile platforms:
Siris and Isa have joined with the God-King Raidriar in a desperate attempt to destroy the Worker of Secrets and his army of Deathless titans. Uncover new mysteries to wield the power of the Infinity Blade in this timeless adventure of champions and villains.

You love games, but your girlfriend or wife doesn’t. My goal is to change that. This week, 9to5Toys is debuting Gaming For Couples, a new weekly column looking at great games for couples to play together. We’re not necessarily going to pick the newest or hottest games for this column — instead, we’re going to suggest titles that are reasonably priced, made for both girls and guys, and widely available.
Our first edition looks at two picks just in time for the holidays: the Peggle franchise and The Beatles: Rock Band, both from Electronic Arts.

Walmart is making a push to bolster iPhone sales and get more shoppers in its store during the final lead up to Christmas. Starting this Saturday and running for an entire month, Walmart will knock $70 off the 16GB iPhone 6 and 6 Plus contract prices, and $50 off the 16GB 5s, according to BGR. Sam’s Club, the members-only warehouse store, will have the same deal as Walmart but $2 less.
These are the best price we’ve seen on Apple’s flagship iPhones since Black Friday when Sam’s Club dropped its price below $100.
Today’s report doesn’t make note of discounts for any other models. However, Target is currently including a free $50 gift card with all iPhone 6 capacities.

The free Apple Store iOS app is now offering The Whole Pantry for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch as a free download. Regularly listed at $2.99, this marks only the second time we have seen the app go free since release. Note: once the free Apple Store app is installed on your device, simply go to the Store tab at the bottom, and scroll down to the free offer.
Previous Apple Store freebies were limited to those in the US, but user reports suggested that by disabling location services the download became available.

Outdoor enthusiasts and clumsy iPhone 6 owners alike have been waiting for this moment: LifeProof has made its frē waterproof iPhone 6 case available for $79.99. This is sort of a pseudo launch since black is the only color option and the special early-access link was only given to newsletter subscribers.
As with past versions of the frē, the updated iPhone 6 model is also waterproof, dirt proof, snow proof, and shock proof. According to LifeProof, the frē case will keep your iPhone 6 safe from damage in up to 2 meters of water for an hour. The built-in scratch protector will keep your touchscreen safe without getting in the way of Touch ID.
We hope to see a full line of LifeProof iPhone 6/Plus cases released later this month. Continue on for more features and pics:

Amazon has the Lenmar Meridian 2300 mAh iPhone 5/5s Battery Case for $29.99 with free Prime shipping (free trial) or on orders of $35 or more. That’s $60 under Lenmar direct and the lowest we’ve ever seen by $15. It is available in all four colors: red, black, white and gold.
This MFi case doubles your talk, text and surfing time with a 2300 mAh battery that recharges using the included USB to micro USB cable. More features below. It has received a 4.1/5 star rating from over 729 Amazon customers and The Wall Street Journal liked it as well.

It has a unique grainy design that shows the advanced shock absorption technology to better protect your iPhone 6 back. It’s ultra slim, clear, and weighs next to nothing. You still have access to all ports, sensors, speakers, cameras and all iPhone features. Omaker also guarantees hassle free replacement or money back in three months.
Also, don’t miss our roundup of the thinnest iPhone 6 cases currently on the market.
It’s been just about two months since iPhone 6/Plus were released in the US and there’s still no word from Apple regarding an official dock. And that’s fine, because the best iPhone 6/Plus dock has been available the entire time.
Today, Twelve South is introducing an updated version called the HiRise Deluxe. Its basic design and function remains the same, but Twelve South has updated two aspects that address the only (very minor) qualms we had with the original HiRise.
Now, the Deluxe model doesn’t require any tools for making size adjustments to accommodate nearly any case. Also, instead of having to provide your own charging cable, Twelve South is now including one Lightning and one Micro-USB cable. In addition to black and silver, the Deluxe HiRise will also be available in a gold finish.
The Twelve South HiRise Deluxe is available now for $59.99. The $25 up-charge over the original HiRise is reasonable since it includes a Lightning ($11-19 value) and Micro-USB ($2-3 value) in addition to other design upgrades.

Small States features small companies that design and manufacture within the United States.
Since we began writing Small States about two and half months ago, we’ve been afforded the opportunity to tell the story of many great companies in the United States. It has been an incredible journey of meeting people that are passionate about bringing old world craftsman skills back to a country that has found peace in buying things from overseas. We have met and profiled so many great proprietors of high-quality products, telling their story has been an honor for us.
Today, we highlight DODOcase, makers of beautiful goods that provide a home for your iPad, iPhone, laptops and more. With Small States, we’ve found an opportunity to highlight products that are manufactured within the United States, but with DODO it’s about so much more.
This San Francisco based company is not only manufacturing beautiful products, they are bringing back a way of life and skill that has quickly escaped our country over the last 50 years.

The overhauled design of iPhone 6 has slowed third party accessory makers to a crawl. We’ve seen a variety of docks and ultra-thin cases from smaller outfits, but name-brand companies are taking an exceptionally long time to bring iPhone 6/Plus accessories to market.
The Protection+ case is Logitech’s first official iPhone 6 case…

What makes a great product? Quality materials. Simple yet functional design. Beautiful craftsmanship. This week, we’ve found a dock that manages to check off everything on the list.
Meet the Spool Dock from Quell & Company. The home for your iPhone and iPad mini that not only looks beautiful, but also functions beautifully.
It is the first dock I’ve used that truly made me want to interact with it. With the Spool Dock it goes beyond charging your phone, it’s an experience.
Hand crafted using home grown wood and wool felt, this dock is capable of more than your average charging station from the Apple Store. It is a well-thought-out design that adjusts for a wide variety of scenarios in a way most cannot.

Bang & Olufsen – the creators of high-end audio and visual equipment – has announced that it is entering the portable Bluetooth speaker fight and its first effort certainly appears worthy of our attention.
From the looks of it, B&O has come out swinging.
During the same week that another top-of-the-line audio company released its own Bluetooth device, B&O’s lower brand BeoPlay is showing off its A2 for the first time. Built utilizing their strong background in audio, this speaker has a striking design that certainly has the look of a high-end audio device.
While it may not be as many “features” as some Bluetooth devices, certainly the name B&O will turn some heads in the audio world.

While EA’s NHL series has dominated the console space for many years, its popular hockey sim titles don’t make it to mobile. That’s where 2K comes in. Just a week after debuting NBA 2K15 for smartphones and tablets, the well known publisher has now released a new NHL 2K title on the App Store and Google Play.
While somewhat better known for titles like BioShock, XCOM and Civilization on the mobile side, 2K also has a long history with sports titles like its popular NBA titles. NHL 2K comes with many of the usual features and modes you have come to expect from an NHL game, along with being designed for mobile from the ground up. Update (10/21 11:30am): Prices are fluctuating. Check eBay for latest rates.
Update (10/20 1:15pm): Prices across the board have dropped: 16GB $329.99, 32GB $359.99, 64GB $389.99
Update (10/20 7:45am): coupon code has expired, but $399 for an unlocked iPhone 5 is still a great price.
Apple’s “unofficial” eBay Store is still going strong and the release of iPhone 6 has sparked new price drops on previous generation iPhones.
A factory unlocked manufacturer refurbished iPhone 5 now starts at just $399 and includes a full one year Apple warranty, is repackaged with manual and charger, and has been returned to like-new condition. Furthermore, the “final quality inspection [is performed] by Apple.” Enter redemption code CELL20SAVE during checkout and you’ll save an additional $20 on each model. That drops the price of a 16GB model down to $379 shipped.
As a pricing comparison, Apple is currently charging $450 for an unlocked iPhone 5c (essentially the same phone) with half as much storage. After surveying completed listings on eBay, most pre-owned iPhone 5 units sell for anywhere between $300-$400, but keep in mind those aren’t refurbished by Apple and generally do not include a warranty or any accessories.
Today’s coupon code also drops the 32GB iPhone 5 to $389 and the 64GB iPhone 5 to $399. All of these variations are Apple refurbished, include a one year warranty, and are eligible to be shipped to dozens of different countries:

Verizon wireless has the Logitech UE Mini Boom for only $79.99 shipped as their “Accessory of the Month” for all of October. That’s $20 off the regular price and the best offer we could find. We gave it rave reviews at 9to5mac giving its benefits over its predecessor:
So what’s different?
1. The whole internal structure has changed to optimize the type of sound the Ultimate Ears group wanted to provide.
2. It is both louder and crisper at higher volumes as well. It is another class…to quote Spinal Tap, they’ve gone to 11 and further. As you can see in the video – the sound of the Boom at 1/3 is what the Box didn’t hit until 2/3rd of the way.
3. It has the same pairing capabilities as the more expensive, full sized Ultimate Ears Boom speaker (see video) to make stereo sound and improve the volume some more. Left/Right sound separation are a big deal here.
4. The Bluetooth range has now increased up to 50 feet from 33 which is a result of improved antenna design and power. Interesting note: The second speaker can be even further because it pairs with the first speaker, not the phone.
The UE Boom lets you pair two devices at once (the speaker remembers the last eight connected devices). You can stream music wirelessly via Bluetooth from up to 50 feet away with a rechargeable battery that lasts up to 10 hours.
