Sony unveils the next generation PlayStation VR Headset

As technology companies race to position themselves as the go-to VR platform, Sony is looking to update its PS4 headset. Microsoft and even some other companies are stepping into the fray here, so Sony is going to have to stay on its toes to remain relevant in the virtual reality gaming space. Microsoft is already starting to tap third-parties to create devices for its new Mixed Reality platform and we have already seen offerings from Dell and ASUS hit the net.

Today, Sony has announced that it is readying a new version of its proprietary VR headset with a number of small, albeit quite useful updates.
