We have now had a chance to test them out in an attempt to answer the glaring question here – why would anyone pay $50 for a Twelve South silicone case when they can get one that looks similar on Amazon for $16? I have used a few dash cams before, but Viofo’s latest flagship really caught my eye because it goes a step beyond the usual font-and-rear setup. The A329T steps things up by adding a second forward-facing camera with a telephoto lens designed to zoom in and capture details farther down the road. I don’t consider myself a hardcore “dash cam enthusiast” but I do care about reliable video protection and clear footage. Bose debuted the second-generation QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds recently and we have now had a chance to test them out ahead of today’s pre-order launch. Nintendo Direct goes live today with the first major Partner Showcase of the Switch 2 generation, and you can watch it down below. Nintendo has finally gone official with long-awaited and much anticipated July Nintendo Direct. The livestream will mark the first proper Direct since Switch 2 launched, outside of the dedicated shows we have already got for the system’s two biggest launch titles, but we can’t help but be mildly skeptical/disappointed with what we know so far regarding tomorrow’s show – it is a Partner showcase after all. 

We’ve tested a bunch of chargers here at 9to5Toys, and while there are plenty of good ones that we continue to recommend, most of them fall short somewhere or the other – be it when it comes to the number of devices it can charge or the overall output it can deliver simultaneously. Rumors are abound of a July Nintendo Switch 2 Direct showcase, as we reported previously. This also comes along with predictions and rumors from reliable sources, both old and new, of which games might make an appearance. There are loads of major third-party titles that haven’t been made official yet, not to mention some big-time titles that still need an official release date, and what would the first major Direct showcase after the Switch 2 be without a huge drop from Nintendo’s development teams?

MagSafe wallets are a great alternative to traditional wallets, especially if you prefer to travel light with just a couple of cards and little to no cash. I personally love the convenience – they let me leave my regular wallet behind and carry one less item every time I step out. Having said that, I’m yet to find the one that checks all the right boxes for me. Most MagSafe wallets I’ve tried either don’t have enough space and barely fit one or two cards, or they don’t feel sturdy enough to keep my cards securely in place. One of the biggest issues I often run into with Hall effect gaming keyboards is that they typically fall short when it comes to typing experience outside of gaming. The few that do get it right – or at least come close – like the Glorious GMMK 3 Pro HE, usually cost over $300. As someone who enjoys building and tweaking mechanical keyboards as a hobby, I found myself constantly switching between standard mechanical keyboards for typing and Hall effect models for gaming. That changed when I got my hands on the Luminkey Magger68 Pro HE. Built by a brand known for offering a wide range of layouts and catering to enthusiasts with “high-end” custom boards, the Magger68 strikes that rare balance, at least for me. It’s not only great for typing but also includes all the key magnetic keyboard features like customizable actuation points. Just after the reveal of its next-generation flagship earbuds, Bose debuted and launched its all-new SoundLink Plus portable speaker. We have had a couple weeks to put it to the test to see if that $269 price of entry is worth it, and without giving up too many spoilers, it very much is if you can appreciate a minimalist speaker that sounds great but doesn’t come with many extras. 

Half of the point of the Nintendo Switch 2 is to use it on the go, but you certainly want a case to do that. The dbrand Killswitch is, in many ways, the best Nintendo Switch 2 case I could ask for, but it does have one big flaw.

Over the years, I have tested wallets of all shapes, form factors, functions, and sizes, from traditional bi-folds to MagSafe wallets to wallets made of metal. Some were great, some were not so much. But even with the ones that I like, I always felt like I was sacrificing something. Whether it was not enough for the cards to fit, or there were no mgsafe capabilities, or the wallet was too thick. It it’s time to take a look at the upcoming Switch 2 game release schedule. The Switch 2 is clearly off to a wonderful start in terms of sales and Mario Kart World has (mostly) been a big hit among gamers, but despite Switch 2 delivering a more or less solid launch lineup as far as new console launches go, there still feels like something is missing for me. That said, there are some wonderful upgraded Switch 1 games to enjoy and whole host of notable titles on the horizon, both this year and next. 

Mario Kart World and the rest of the Nintendo Switch 2 launch games are out in the wild now, but the next major release on Nintendo’s schedule is Donkey Kong Bananza. The all-new 3D DK game has a ton of Super Odyssey vibes, and we have already had a decent look at the game, but there is still more Nintendo wants to show us before its release on Switch 2 come July 17. And today’s dedicated Donkey Kong Bananza Nintendo Direct presentation starts soon. 

Update: The mention below regarding the inner flap needing to be longer might actually be a bigger problem than it first appeared after the first week of testing. You should avoid this case as the inner zipper might damage the Switch 2 if you’re not super careful with it.

There’s loads of Switch 2 cases out there already, but the fabric-like finish and minimalist approach of the Spigen Klasden caught my eye. I’ve been on the hunt for a new portable SSD solution and, despite some of the issues its drives have had in past years, SanDisk’s Extreme lineup has been a reliable one for me so opted to test out the latest SanDisk Extreme PRO with USB4.
