Blu-rays from $4.50: Se7en, The Dark Knight, Jurassic Park, The Goonies, much more

Best Buy and Amazon continue to add to their on-line bargain bin of Blu-ray’s each month with relatively new and noteworthy titles all around $5 each. Also, Best Buy is currently offering Buy one, Get one free on select Blu-rays starting at $10 for two.

Our pick from Amazon is a Prime member exclusive title Se7en from the year 1995. This intense thriller was the break-through role for Kevin Spacey and it received an Oscar nomination as well as numerous other awards.

A film about two homicide detectives’ (Morgan Freeman and (Brad Pitt desperate hunt for a serial killer who justifies his crimes as absolution for the world’s ignorance of the Seven Deadly Sins. The movie takes us from the tortured remains of one victim to the next as the sociopathic “John Doe” (Kevin Spacey) sermonizes to Detectives Somerset and Mills — one sin at a time. The sin of Gluttony comes first and the murderer’s terrible capacity is graphically demonstrated in the dark and subdued tones characteristic of film noir. The seasoned and cultured but jaded Somerset researches the Seven Deadly Sins in an effort to understand the killer’s modus operandi while the bright but green and impulsive Detective Mills (Pitt) scoffs at his efforts to get inside the mind of a killer…

Netflix June 2016 Preview: ‘Orange is the New Black’ season 4, ‘Voltron: Legendary Defender’, more

For some of us, June finally means the end of miserable weather and the start of summer, but if you’re a fan of the Netflix original series: Orange is the New Black, you won’t get to enjoy time in the sun this month. That’s right, the girls of Litchfield are back for a fourth season (starting June 17th) and we’re told it gets a little darker and bit grittier this time around.

Also coming up is a brand new reboot series for Voltron from DreamWorks studios. In all, 13 episodes called Voltron: Legendary Defender will be arriving with modern visuals and a new story where five unlikely heroes together form as Voltron to defeat evil. As a big fan of Voltron growing up, I’ll definitely be checking this one out on June 10th when it’s released.

Still not getting Netflix? You can try it out free for a month and then pay as little as $8 a month for a basic subscription. You’ll also want to check out some popular media streamers to beam Netflix to your TV.

Here’s the full list of what’s coming and what’s going on Netflix in June:

The ninth album from DJ megastar Kaskade has its share of stadium thrillers—check the breathtaking “A Little More”—but its softer moments are among its finest feats. “We Don’t Stop” melds indie rock guitars and heart-tugging lyrics into synths that unfurl like a fiery orange sunset, while “Promise” (with K.Flay) is a fun, UK-style R&B club bumper. Kaskade returns to his deep house roots with Estelle on sunny “Day Trippin’,” and collaborates with electro-poppers Two Nations for the beachy shoegazer “Papercuts.”
