While we are still awaiting the official release date for Switch 2’s biggest release of the year – The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake, as well as an official launch for FromSoft’s The Duskbloods, it is time to take stock of the games confirmed to be landing on Switch in 2026. There is a long list of titles already locked down for 2026, from James Bond and brick-built Batman to the new Switch Sports Resort game, the Kingdom Hearts collection, and more. Let’s dive in. 

Switch 2 gamers everywhere are soon to the field of Hyrule as Nintendo ramps up for the launch of what is widely expected to be its biggest holiday launch – The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake. Rumors and leaks have been flying since well before Nintendo made the remake official, and that special edition Zelda Switch 2 console is surfacing again, but it might not be the Ocarina of Time model. 

Update: The officially-licensed Hasbro Legend of Zelda Heroes of Hyrule are now live on Amazon.

Nintendo and Hasbro went official with a new licensed Zelda toy line last week, and today we are getting our first look at the new Hylian figures ahead of pre-orders going live later tonight. 

This year’s big Switch 2 game release, at least for many folks, is the now confirmed The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time remake. Nintendo has said it is coming this year, but it has yet to show us any gameplay or provide a release date. However, GameStop might have just leaked the pre-order date. 

The Zelda Ocarina of Time remake is set for release in 2026, but as we await a proper gameplay reveal and the actual release date, Hasbro and Nintendo have now officially announced a licensing partnership to debut a series of new toys and collectibles based on the beloved Zelda franchise. 

Update 6/15: The Crocs x Super Mario Clogs and Jibbitz are now live for purchase.

The new Crocs x Super Mario collection will be available for purchase today. Earlier this month Nintendo and Crocs made their latest collaboration official, and the new Mushroom Kingdom clogs are now up for grabs on the official Crocs site. 

It appears as though Nintendo could be in the process of developing a new Switch 2 console with an OLED display, according to reports. 

Back in late May Nintendo and LEGO official teased upcoming Donkey Kong sets. At the time it was unclear whether or not this would be some sort of expansion to the existing Super Mario theme or not, but since then it has started to become clear DK is getting his own sets entirely and the first image of the new LEGO Donkey Kong Arcade has leaked online. 

Alongside the return of discounts on a series of new upcoming Switch 2 games, and all of the deals you’ll find in this morning’s roundup, Nintendo is now letting folks play the new Yoshi and the Mysterious Book for FREE. 

Nintendo has had a tough year when it comes to leaks (more like two years at this point), which is to be expected in and around a major new console release. Last week Nintendo made it official – The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is real, and it is releasing on Switch 2 in 2026. I think the bevy of Nintendo leaks that have hit this year dulled the experience significantly for many folks, myself included, Nintendo stock has taken a bit of nose dive because of it, and more importantly, there’s more than a few gamers that walked away from the presentation far less excited than they should have been. So what’s next from Nintendo: Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time limited edition Switch 2 console? A proper influx of major Game Cube titles? Is there one more surprise 2026 game release?

While we still haven’t received the release date for the new Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time remake remake yet (it is coming this year though), Nintendo’s new Star Fox game is definitely releasing in a just couple weeks now, and you can try it for FREE on Switch 2 starting right now.

Nintendo has now officially confirmed the leaked June Nintendo Direct and it goes live tomorrow. Does this mean the rest of the game leaks and rumors are also going to come true? Some of them already have and tomorrow could be the big one. 

After waiting, more or less, a full year for Nintendo to host a major Nintendo Direct for Switch 2, the day has finally arrived. Yesterday Nintendo made it official – it is hosting a full-on 2026 summer Nintendo Direct and it goes live today. 

Nintendo just confirmed its big June Nintendo Direct folks. It’s really happening! All the leaks and rumors were true. 

Nintendo historically hosts a big Direct in June, but last year things were seemingly shifted because of the Switch 2 launch and this left expectations up in the air for 2026. However, industry insiders claimed we were getting something along those lines this month, and one of them just doubled down to confirm/leak the date. 

While we are still waiting an official release date on FromSoft’s Switch 2 exclusive, The Duskbloods, ready your swords my fells Tarnished warriors, you will officially be heading back to The Lands Between in just two months time – the release date for Elden Ring Tarnished Edition on Switch 2 has been revealed. 

Just after Nintendo teased all-new official LEGO Donkey Kong sets, Nintendo announced the classic Donkey Kong 64 for Switch Online, and that day is here. The 1999 release is now live and playable in the Nintendo 64 – Nintendo Classics library for Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack members. 

After the launch of the official Animal Crossing collection, and those insanely ridiculous LEGO clogs, Nintendo has announced Crocs are coming to the Mushroom Kingdom. 

Nintendo surprised just about everyone last moth with a dedicated Star Fox Direct showcase out of nowhere. The new Switch 2 cinematic remake of the N64 game is officially set for release on June 25 and Nintendo has just unleashed a new Overview Trailer via the Nintendo Today app. 

Nintendo didn’t just announce the major Nintendo Direct we are waiting for, but most assume it’s coming and several industry insiders are suggesting it’s going to be bigger than World 4 in SMB3. I’m not so certain, but there is a very good chance, based on leaks, rumors, and historical analysis, that something big is coming from the Mario Zelda maker.

Nintendo has officially announced Donkey Kong 64 for the Nintendo 64 Switch Online library. DK, Diddy, Lanky, Tiny, Chunky, and the DK Rap will arrive on Nintendo Classics in one week’s time in glorious 64 bit. 

Remember the days when we used to get some seriously great deals on gaming consoles for holiday events and Black Friday? No? Well, I’m old enough to remember those days, and realistic enough to know they are long gone, at least for now. And that’s why you might want to take Nintendo’s new Switch 2 Choose Your Game bundle offer more seriously. 

Update 5/28: Nintendo’s new Pictonico! Is now live on iOS and Android. 

While some of the big Switch 2 game leaks have now come true, there are still some major rumors still up in the air. One Nintendo game that did not leak ahead of time is the quirky new Pictonico! that was just revealed and is now set for release next week. 

Last week, Nintendo officially announced the new Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle offer, and it is now available for purchase – this basically the best and only deal on Switch 2.  

We are quickly approaching the 1-year anniversary of the Nintendo Classics GameCube library on Switch 2. While have had a relatively steady stream of titles added since then, it has been two months since Nintendo delivered a new title to the service and it’s time to check in on all of the confirmed titles and what the next Game Cube game will be. 

Just after its official launch in mid February and a couple of new additions for Mario Day a month later, Nintendo has now announced five new titles for Virtual Boy Nintendo Classics. 

Just after the official price increase on Nintendo Switch 2 was announced on the base system, it has now issued a press release to reveal the new Nintendo Switch 2: Choose Your Game Bundle. 

We saw that adorable Nintendo Hello, Mario! Board Book go up for preorder earlier this year (available right now at $12), now it’s Yoshi’s turn. The official My Mario: It’s Yoshi! Board Book pre-order is now live on Amazon at $12.99 Prime shipped. 

Nintendo has just decided to reveal a new updated for The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. While not some giant expansion you might be hoping for, the now 3-year old release is getting an epic new amiibo though and some in-game goodies along with it. 

Nintendo had a giant 2025 with the launch of its next-generation console, record-breaking sales, and some top-tier game releases. This year has been a bit of a down turn – as the new Super Mario Galaxy Movie caught fire at the box office, Switch 2 sales have slowed, all of its big announcements for 2026 might have already leaked, and the stock price is dropping. It’s not all bad news though, and it has now confirmed there are still some as of yet (officially) announced first-party titles set to launch this year for its new console. 

Well, as much as as we hoped it wouldn’t, I guess we all sort of knew it was gong to happen eventually – Nintendo has now officially announced price increases on Nintendo Switch 2. 

The leaks at Nintendo have been wild this year. From the now confirmed Star Fox game and a potentially upcoming remake of Zelda Ocarina of Time, not everything has come true just yet, but much of it has, and a Switch 2 version of Hell is Us is one of them.
