GE’s new smart LED lightbulbs tell your brain when it’s time for bed

It’s not healthy to look at your iPhone before bed. I know, we all do it. The white light of your device actually sends signals to your brain to produce energy, which isn’t ideal before you start counting sheep. That tricky thing called melatonin is actually pretty important. What if a lightbulb could actually help manage all that?

That’s where GE comes in with its new line of smart LED lightbulbs, simply called ‘C’. These two lights offer different variable settings that adjust throughout the day to improve your circadian rhythm. Think Hue meets Advil PM…or something like that.

Guitar Hero Live lands on iOS with a new mobile instrument bundle

Guitar Hero Live has hit iOS today in what is being billed as essentially a full-on port of the console game. The highly-anticipated virtual band title also launched on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One this morning. Activision has opted for an in-app purchase model for this title. The iOS version is available for free to download, but only includes two songs. If you’re after the full catalog, you’ll have to purchase the full game or grab the new iOS bundle that includes a guitar controller.

You’ll have to hurry to grab one of these limited edition Fallout 4 Xbox One controllers

Update (10/23 12:30pm): It’s been a big week over at the Bethesda Store, as a number of sweet Fallout 4 accessories have been launched. Aside from a cool limited edition messenger bag and artwork, today has delivered the best product of all: beer! That’s right, Fallout and Carlsberg have combined to launch a sweet new drink. More details here.

The Bethesda Store has kicked off a weeklong Fallout 4 promotion, revealing a fresh item each day. A new limited edition t-shirt was announced today. Tuesday is set to deliver the big ticket item: Bethesda will be releasing a new Fallout-inspired Xbox One Controller. The kicker? There will only be 5,000 available. It’s unclear what time the sale will launch, but today’s item was up by 9am. If you’re interested you’ll have to move fast to grab one.

Bethesda has decked out the controller with a blue and yellow paint scheme with a Vault-Boy on one of the handles. While it is a wired controller, the design is still pretty killer for big Fallout Boy fans. No word yet on pricing. We’ll continue to update this post with the more notable gear launched by Bethesda this week.

This is just the latest in a string of limited edition Xbox One consoles and controllers that we have seen. The upcoming Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller is set to release next week alongside Halo 5: Guardians, which also received its own specially designed peripheral. The limited edition madness isn’t just reserved for Xbox One, Call of Duty fans will be able to grab the new Black Ops II PlayStation 4 bundle next month.
