Keeping all of your streaming subscriptions and all the boxes that come along with them organized is still a bit of a chore. Philips is teaming up with Roku for a new line of integrated HDTVs. Streaming box company Roku has been under a ton of pressure lately as competition heats from every angle. Google, Amazon and Apple, among others, all have competing boxes on the market, and it looks like Roku is continuing to build its service directly into lower priced televisions in order to remain in the game. Following in line with other integrated sets from Hitachi and TCL, Philips is now building Roku OS into its latest line of HD displays.

Televisions have been evolving since they came out. From black and white tube televisions to new 8K beauties, we’ve seen TVs come a long way. The latest launch from Hisense isn’t really a TV, it’s a projector… But it’s also a TV? It’s both, according to them. Basically, Hisense partnered with Screen Innovations to bring you a brilliantly crisp 100-inch screen that mounts flush on your wall. Hisense manufactured the “TV” portion of this home-theater system, and it’s all done by a short-throw 4K laser-powered projector. Yes, lasers.
