Update: The Pebble Time is now available to purchase from Best Buy and is coming to Target next month.
Pebble has a long-time friendship with Best Buy, and now the smartwatch maker is launching the first widespread availability of its new Pebble Time through the retailer. Available for $200, the standard 22mm non-steel version of the watch is now available for consumers to put their claim on red, black, and white models.
While the Kickstarter Edition just recently began shipping to those who backed the watch, those just now realizing that they would actually like a smartwatch that has a color e-paper display, more than 5 days of battery life, and cross-platform compatibility are in luck:
We recently reviewed the Pebble Time, saying that while it does have its upsides, it still feels stuck in the past compared to the currently-available Android Wear devices and the Apple Watch. Long battery life is nice, but the lack of a touch screen and sketchy compatibility with iOS hold the device back—especially at this price point.

Pixar changed the film industry forever when it released Toy Story back in 1995. And ever since then John Lasseter and crew have been releasing full-length animated films that push the limits of technology and storytelling. The incredible titles that Pixar has produced in such a short period of time is staggering: Toy Story, Up, Cars, Brave, and Monsters Inc. Just to name some of my favorites.

This Friday Pixar is releasing its next film called Inside Out. To mark this occasion iTunes is currently featuring a Pixar promotion that discounts every full-length Pixar movie as well as some apps and other goodies. Pixar/Disney movies rarely go on sale, especially on iTunes. If you’ve been meaning to fill out your movie collection now’s the time to do it. Each movie usually sells for $19.99:

Individual rentals are discounted as well. The Pixar Story is also on sale at iTunes for $14.99 and Google Play for $12.99, which I would highly recommend if you’re interested in learning more about Pixar Animation Studios. You should be able to sync any of these movies with Disney Movies Anywhere to watch them on nearly any device.

Apple’s 12-inch MacBook has been backordered since it was unveiled back in March. The Silver and Space Gray models have come in and out of stock a couple times, but the Gold model has been nearly impossible to nail down.
But right now MacMall has a range of models in-stock and available for shipment as soon as today including both standard configuration Gold models. What’s more, each model is $10 below Apple’s price and MacMall only charges sales tax at the time of purchase for buyers in a handful of states.
If you were to order those models right now from Apple.com it would take upwards of 5 weeks to receive your new Mac. Shipping times from other resellers aren’t much better: Best Buy shows 4-7 weeks, Amazon just says “This item has not yet been released,” and B&H just lists “coming soon.”

The all-new 12-inch MacBook features an ultra-thin design, Force Touch, Retina display, and a reengineered keyboard. Not sure the new MacBook is for you? Take a minute to read our review.

Just in time for Mother’s Day, T-Mobile is discounting its Apple iPad offerings by $100 when you elect to finance through its Equipment Installment Plan (EIP) program. Here are the models that T-Mobile currently offers. Note: you must select color and capacity on the product page.

Every time a new USB-C accessory is announced the new 12-inch MacBook and Chromebook Pixel become a little less of a plight for people who can’t say goodbye to standard USB. Patriot Memory is joining team USB-C with its announcement of new dual-sided 32GB and 64GB flash drives:
On one end of Patriot’s new metal flash drives you’ll find USB-C, while the opposite end is a standard type A USB 3.0 connector. This setup allows for optimal compatibility with a range of devices including older Mac and PC machines.
There are, of course, USB-C adapters so you can use legacy USB Flash Drives with new USB-C devices, but they are a hassle to carry and can be costly. Other companies that have already announced USB-C accessories include SanDisk, Belkin, Google and Monoprice. If you’re the adventurous type, some budget options have started popping up on Amazon.
Patriot hasn’t released pricing yet, but did say these new flash drives should be available beginning in June. Full press release follows:

9to5Toys Specials currently has the WatchStand™ Apple Watch Charging Dock for $27 with free shipping. That’s a small discount on a product that starts shipping this week – one of the few watch accessories ready to go.
The Apple Watch is a beautiful piece of wearable kit, but it needs to be charged every day to keep going. The WatchStand is designed to make the wristwear available for use when it is plugged in, while also presenting it in style. The charging cable is neatly tucked away within the podium part of the stand, and your Watch is held in place at the top by a magnetic charging point. It means you can avoid the usual troubles with desk scratching and the Watch falling off every surface, and the base of the stand also provides a safe home for your iPhone.
