Pokémon Day 2026 has officially arrived and we are in for a special 30th anniversary Pokémon Presents showcase this morning. The Pokémon Company officially revealed that it would be hosting a special live stream event on February 27 and it kicks off very soon.

Pokémon Day 2026 is set to be a major one and the festivities have already began with a major Nintendo Switch announcement this morning and confirmation of next Friday’s Pokémon Presents showcase.

Pokémon Day 2026 is tomorrow, and with this year being a major 30th anniversary milestone for the pocket monster franchise, the reveals, new products, and announcements have already begun. Alongside the Walmart Pokémon Week event, the new Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen for Switch and Switch 2, coming LEGO sets, and more, eBay has also announced a special 30/30 Collection event that will, apparently, be showcasing and auctioning off some of the most sought-after and iconic pocket monster collectibles at the “original retail price.” 

Pokémon Day is tomorrow folks, and it’s already set to be a big one! This year marks the 30th anniversary of the very first Pokémon Red and Blue games, we already have the official release of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen, all-new gameplay for the upcoming Pokémon Pokopia, and tomorrow’s Pokémon Presents on the schedule, but there’s much more to come. As someone who has reviewed and used plenty of mechanical keyboards, I’d started to feel like I’d seen it all in this space. Earlier this month high-end pinball machine maker Stern announced an official partnership with The Pokémon Company, and today we are getting our first look and details on the new crossover machines. 

Coming in right behind yesterday’s big LEGO Maersk Dual-Fuel Shipping Vessel reveal, the brick-built company has unveiled five new LEGO Star Wars sets based on the upcoming Mandalorian & Grogu movie that already have fans buzzing in excitement. The best part is that most are open for pre-orders, and folks won’t be waiting too much longer before they officially release either. Throughout the year we get our fair share of these things, some far less special than others, and while we aren’t sure exactly what’s on the slate this afternoon, all signs point to this being a serious showcase.
