As we all know by now, the Switch has been a massive success for Nintendo. Despite some of the reservations around the time of the unveil pertaining to what seemed like a gimmicky controller setup, Switch is for the most part a massive win for gamers as well. However, some of us still prefer the more classic D-pads for certain games. There is just something about the classic NES/SNES-style setup that just continues to be the ideal input mechanism for fighters, some 2-D platformers and other archetypical 90’s era experiences.

While they may not be for everyone, and have had some shortcomings along the way, LEGO has had a seemingly endless run of successful game releases. The crossover titles span just about every major IP out there including Batman, Jurassic Park, Marvel Avengers and Star Wars, just to name a few. And there are also some awesome original titles in the mix including City Undercover, The LEGO Movie Game and the latest entry, Worlds. Now that the latest generation of amiibo are out, we are starting to see regular deals on previous generation characters. Today, Toys R Us is offering a Buy 1 Get 2 Free promotion on Animal Crossing amiibo. Just about all of the eligible characters are listed at $8, down from the original $13 right now. Free shipping is available on orders over $29. That means you’re getting three amiibo for $7.99. While some characters are priced for a couple bucks less on Amazon, you certainly won’t be getting 3 of them for $8.

However, if you’re looking for individual characters to fill out your collection, Best Buy has Tom Nook, Mabel, Resetti, Cyrus/K.K./Reese from $2 each.

The action-RPG Transistor is now down at just $2.99 on the App Store. Outside of a brief $2 sale during the holidays last year, this is matching the best price we have tracked. The game carries a 4+ star rating from over 1,200 gamers.

This one comes from the makers of Bastion and is highly recommended by the folks around the office here, especially at $3 and if you have an MFi controller to use.
