Apple has now selected Drop Flip as the App Store’s new Free App of the Week. Regularly listed at $2, this is the very first time we have seen the puzzle game go free directly on the App Store.

We were stoked when soccer-meets-rocket powered battle cars title, Rocket League, came to Xbox One a few months back. But now the physics-based multiplayer title is going free for a limited time, down from its usual $20 price tag. From now through June 12th, Rocket League is free-to-play for all Xbox Live members.
If that’s not enough rocket car soccer for you, the physical disc recently hit Amazon for pre-order with early discounts for Prime members.

(Update 08/18): Deus Ex Go is now available for download on iOS and Android for $4.99.
Square Enix is back at it again with its popular mobile Go titles. This time around Adam Jensen will be coming over from the console to star in the new Deus Ex Go. Very much based around the success of the previously release Hitman Go and Lara Croft Go, it is set to release later this summer, generally around the same time as the highly anticipated next entry in the AAA console series: Mankind Divided.

Update (6/7 11:48pm): The official Newegg eBay Store is offering a PlayStation 4 console with Uncharted 4 and Uncharted The Nathan Drake Collection for $359 shipped ($410 value).

Microsoft has now officially dropped all Xbox One bundles $50 with options starting at $299. The sale comes a few months ahead of E3 2016 and will run until Microsoft’s big conference on July 13th. With the $50 price drop now mostly live across the board, we are seeing some very notable discounts at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Microsoft Store and more. But it’s the rumored E3 bound Xbox One slim that makes the move most interesting.
Several outlets have reported rumors on a new, slimmer Xbox One along with a pair of possible new Xbox TV streaming boxes. Both of which could be making an appearance come July 13th. While that is something to keep in mind if you’re in the market for a new Xbox One, pricing on the new model isn’t likely to get as low as today’s deals for some time.

The Goat Simulator franchise has developed an impressive cult following since it hit nearly every platform over the last two years. Today, Coffee Stain Studios has released its next title on iOS. Warm weather is here and Microsoft has released the details June’s Games with Gold lineup. Next month marks the third anniversary of the programs inception, leading to a special lineup of freebies. Xbox Live members can grab four games for free as a part of this promotion, head below for a look at the full selection.

You can now grab WWE 2K for just $1 on iOS. 2K usually sells it for $7.99 and this is the first time we have seen it drop this low directly on the App Store. It has a 4+ star rating from over 1,400 gamers. 2K is also offering this same deal to Android users over in the Google Play Store as well.

Developer State of Play games is now offering its unique and well rated iOS puzzler KAMI for free in celebration of the release of company’s latest title: INKS. Gran Turismo is finally making its big return to PlayStation this fall. The popular racing game will be released for PS4 on November 15th. Pre-orders are now live over at Amazon (with Prime member discounts) and at Best Buy (GCU perks apply). Those that lock-in early will receive access to a special 3-car pack that includes a Ford Mustang Group B Rally Car, Toyota FT-1 Vision FT and Peugeot 908 HDi FAP LMP1.

After the popular True Skate went free this morning, another fantastic iOS game is seeing a nice price drop. Supergiant Games have been responsible for some amazing titles including Bastion and today’s feature: Transistor. Prima is one of the best official game guide companies around and right now it is offering a host of digital options for free. Simply select one of the guides you are interested in, hit the ”Unlock Now” button on the listing page and complete the free (but necessary) sign-up.

There’s any number of unique ways to type on your iPhone these days. With new third-party keyboards coming out weekly, it seems, you’re bound to find an alternative to the stock option that ships with iOS. But what about physical keyboards? While there are Bluetooth options designed for iPhone, the majority are either too large or have been disproportionally shrunk down.
An upcoming device called Tap was revealed this week with a design that looks straight out of the movies. This Bluetooth wearable tracks the movements of your fingers to recreate a virtual keyboard on “nearly any surface.”

The highly rated adventure-platformer game, Swordigo, is now free on iOS. Regularly listed at $3, this is the first time we have seen the game go free directly on the App Store since April of 2015. Its familiar blend of dungeons, treasures, and addictive platforming has left it with a 4+ star rating from over 21,000 gamers.

We spotted a few notable deals this morning on Call of Duty iOS titles. First up is Call of Duty Strike Team for $2. Regular $7, this is matching the lowest we have seen the game go for directly on the App Store since its release back in September of 2013. Featuring a unique blend of both first person and third person action, the game has amassed a 4+ star rating from nearly 8,500 gamers.

After being what seemed like the last console to receive the Minecraft-treatment, Wii U is now the beneficiary of a few exclusive add-ons. The wildly popular title, known for its simple gameplay and fun DLCs, will be receiving a new Mario-themed texture pack. It will include a completely visual redesign of the game, 40 (!!!) different characters and 15 pieces of music from Mario Kart 64. It is slated to hit the Nintendo eShop in June. Of course, Minecraft has long been the home to a variety of popular texture packs including Star Wars, The Simpsons, Fallout and more. This will be the first official DLC from Nintendo for this title. Minecraft: Wii U Edition is available through the Nintendo Shop for $19.99.

Just a few minutes ago, DICE officially unveiled Battlefield 1. The latest first person shooter from the wildly popular franchise takes gamers to the “genesis” of all-out warfare. Pre-orders have yet to be announced, but we’ll update this post as more information is available. We do know, thanks to the reveal, that it will initially be released on Xbox One exclusively for EA Access subscribers. It is set to release on all platforms October 21. Moog Music has been known for producing some of the most popular synthesizers since the 70s— we reviewed a couple of the newer models in our Logic Pros series and noted that iPad/Mac synths still can’t quite capture the experience of even a $1,000 Moog. But today Moog is releasing its own iPad and iPhone version of its popular $10,000 Model 15, aiming to offer a similar experience in a $30 mobile app.
Moog’s own techs helped program the app at the Moog Factory in Asheville, NC, according to the company, with the app both resembling the look and sound of the original 1970’s Model 15 hardware:

Update (5/5 4:00pm): Apple has now named Camera Plus its latest App Store Free App of the Week.
Global Delight’s Camera Plus with AirSnap iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch app is now available for free. It includes several features to help you better capture and edit photos on your mobile device. Over the past couple of years Camera Plus has typically sold for $0.99-$1.99. Today’s deal is the first time we’ve seen this app available at no cost since last November.

Smart home products and robust app stores have brought on a variety of changes in our lives over the last five years. A byproduct of that innovation is the myriad of devices, developer kits and data points that are constantly pinging us. Apple has attempted to curb some of this (at times painful) experience with HomeKit. However, that is primarily focused on hardware functionality. The reality is that we still have all of this information, which leads us to constantly checking our devices for updates.
SeeNote is a new product from a company called MoonRoof that takes the classic sticky note and transforms it into a digital hub for your life. Amazon Echo has management skills but it is based around auditory cues. SeeNote differs with its customizable and interactive e-ink visual display that puts much of your life in one place. Alto’s Adventure for iOS is has now dropped down to just $1. It usually goes for $2.99 and we haven’t seen it this low since late last year. This is also matching the lowest price we have ever tracked directly on the App Store. Available for iPhone, iPad, iPod touch and Apple TV, the game follows “Alto and his friends as they embark on an endless snowboarding odyssey. Journey across the beautiful alpine hills of their native wilderness, through neighboring villages, ancient woodlands, and long-abandoned ruins.” It was selected as part of Apple’s “Best of 2015” and “15 Most Beautiful Games”.
