Sony has announced its selection of free PlayStation Plus Games for February. This month you’ll be able to grab six titles as a part of this promotion. Head below for the full lot.
February is right around the corner and Microsoft has announced the latest Games with Gold titles for next month. As always, Xbox Live members can grab four games for free as a part of this promotion. Head below for full details.
The physics-based puzzler Osmos and Osmos for iPad are now available for 80% off on the App Store in celebration of developer Hemisphere’s new Kickstarter game Karmaka. Regularly listed at $3 and $5 respectively, both the iPhone and iPad versions can be had for just $1 each right now. Outside of a Free App of the Week promotion, this is matching the lowest price we have ever tracked on these apps. They haven’t dropped this low since September of last year.

Over the last 12-18 months, popular lock manufacturers like Schlage and Kwikset have introduced iOS and Android-connected deadbolts for your home. Results have been somewhat mixed but there has clearly been an interest amongst consumers for this type of technology. This week, Brinks announced a new competitor in this space that blends familiar features with some new ideas.
The Array Digital Deadbolt has all the typical app-connected qualities. But instead of using low-power connection options like ZigBee or Bluetooth, Brinks is relying on Wi-Fi to communicate between devices. The popular card/board game Exploding Kittens became the “most-funded game in Kickstarter history” and is now available on iOS devices. Just like its traditional counterpart, “Exploding Kittens is a multiplayer card game for people who are into kittens and explosions and laser beams and sometimes goats.”
The 2-5 player digital version adds new cards, along with the old favorites in what is described as a “highly-strategic, kitty-powered version of Russian Roulette.” Players continually draw cards until someone gets the Exploding Kitten and well, they explode. But it gets a lot more strategic than that with Defuse cards and other ways to avoid the end-times. It should be noted, the game is currently only available as a local Bluetooth/WLAN multiplayer experience, at least for now.
If the digital version doesn’t catch your attention, the traditional sets come in two flavors: regular and NSFW on Amazon for $20 Prime shipped.

Microsoft is announcing a couple of new Xbox One bundles for the new year that offer greater flexibility in what games come with a new console. First up is the Tom Clancy Rainbow Six Siege 1TB Bundle that includes a copy of the new game plus digital downloads of Six Vegas and Vegas 2. The last two coming way of backwards compatibility. Microsoft has priced the Tom Clancy bundle at $399 with availability beginning today.
Next, Microsoft has a new 500GB Name Your Game Bundle that allows shoppers to choose one of four titles as a digital download. Those options include Forza Motorsport 6, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Gears of War: Ultimate Edition and Rare Replay. To maximize your value, you’ll want to choose Forza or Tomb Raider as the other two games typically go for around $25 or less. The Name Your Game Bundle will carry a $349 price tag and is slated to be available on January 12.

Last spring 3 Minute Games hit a home run with Lifeline for mobile devices. Its suspenseful storyline and immersive gameplay helped it become the “1 Top Paid Game on iPhone and Apple Watch in 29 countries.” Since then two more Lifeline titles have been released for iOS and Android. Right now you can download all three of these games for just $0.99 each, which is $2 below their usual price. Lifeline received the price drop a few months ago, but the other two games were just discounted.
Amazon has the LeapFrog LeapTV Educational Active Video Gaming System for $44.99 shipped. That’s $84 off the original list price, $15 less than most other retailers and the lowest we’ve seen it sold.

It’s no secret that the sneaker industry has blown up over the last ten years. Estimates show that Michael Jordan’s brand brings in well over two billion dollars per year. LeBron James just inked a lifetime contract with Nike that “easily surpasses Kevin Durant’s 10-year 300 million dollar deal.” While shoes have continually evolved as Nike has rose to prominence over the last 30 years, we haven’t seen much in the way of smartphone connectivity. While we can easily track our running data with a simple app, technology integration hasn’t gone much further.

Low-flow shower heads are not a new phenomenon. They’ve been around for some time, with varying degrees of annoyance for many years. The idea of saving water while enjoying a long, hot shower has been discussed and executed in many different ways. A new $3,000 shower that recycles (and purifies) our shower water was announced earlier this month with eyes on “revolutionizing” the industry. The Hamwells e-Shower is iOS-connected and re-uses every drop of water seven times. It’s goal is to significantly reduce our water and energy usage. The question is, will consumers buy-in?

As you have likely noticed from our daily app roundups and Holiday Game/App Sale post, hundreds of top-notch iOS/Mac apps are on sale for the holidays. Both the popular Hitman iOS games have now dropped from as much $5 down to just $1 each, but things get even better with the Essentials pack. Square Enix is now offering both Hitman: Sniper and Hitman GO as part of the Hitman Essentials bundle for just $1. At $0.50, and outside of an IGN freebie offer back in mid-2014, this is the best price we have ever seen on the “award winning” Hitman Go. This deal is also the very best price we have ever tracked on Hitman: Sniper since its release back in June.
As for Android gamers, both titles are on sale over at Google Play with Hitman GO available for $1 and Hitman: Sniper down to just $0.50.

Square Enix would like to wish everyone a “Merry Hitmas!” by offering Hitman: Sniper for 80% off. Regularly listed between $3 and $5, you can now download the title on all your iOS devices for just $1. This is the lowest price we have ever seen the game go for directly on the App Store since it released back in June.
