The brand new mainline Gen Pokémon Nintendo Switch 2 games have been officially revealed. As one would expect and just about everyone hoped for, the new Pokémon Winds and Pokémon Waves headlined this morning’s Pokémon Presents showcase and really finished the show off with a bang. We have already featured the reveal of the two games, but a series of additional details have emerged since then, so let’s dive in!

Pokémon Day 2026 has been an eventful one. Kicking off with the launch of the new LEGO sets before the 30th anniversary Pokémon Presents officially revealed the new Gen 10 mainline Pokémon Winds and Waves. We then saw the new Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen officially release on Switch and Switch 2 before we made our way over to the official Nintendo Store in NYC to cap off the celebrations in person, and there are still some new pocket monster experiences set for release next month. It’s officially February 27, 2026, which means today is a celebration of all things Pokémon! It’s been 30 years since the release of the first-gen Pokémon Red and Blue games that began the entire franchise and became a global phenomenon. Amongst the new game releases, an official pinball machine, and more – LEGO is stirring up quite the buzz as the first of its three new Pokémon sets are hitting shelves, complete with two GWP sets, too. Nintendo officially kicked off the 2026 Pokémon Day festivities last week by announcing the launch of Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen on Switch consoles. Pokémon Day 2026 has officially arrived and we are in for a special 30th anniversary Pokémon Presents showcase this morning. The Pokémon Company officially revealed that it would be hosting a special live stream event on February 27 and it kicks off very soon.

This is it folks, we are less than 24 hours out from the big-time 30th anniversary Pokémon Day celebrations. We have already had some exciting announcements, product reveals, and more ahead of the official date, so let the countdown begin!

Pokémon Day 2026 is set to be a major one and the festivities have already began with a major Nintendo Switch announcement this morning and confirmation of next Friday’s Pokémon Presents showcase.

Pokémon Day 2026 is tomorrow, and with this year being a major 30th anniversary milestone for the pocket monster franchise, the reveals, new products, and announcements have already begun. Many LEGO fans are still buzzing over the five new Star Wars Mandalorian & Grogu sets that were revealed last week, and today, we’re getting yet another unveiling – this time of a high-octane champion in the form of LEGO’s Technic 42228 McLaren MCL39 F1 Car. This is promising to be quite the collector’s item amongst Technic building sets – and the best part is that it is officially opening for pre-order ahead of its launch, which isn’t very long of a wait if your impatient. As we reported previously, Virtual Boy is set to make its debut in the Nintendo Classics library today, and it appears it is now live for Switch Online + Expansion Pack members.

Update 2/16: The new LEGO Crocs are now up for pre-order directly from Crocs and over at LEGO. 

We have seen some wild Crocs crossover fashion – check the recent Animal Crossing capsule – but the new LEGO Brick Clogs might be the absolute best (worst) of all. 

The official Super Mario Galaxy Movie toys and collectibles are now up for pre-order. The sequel is set to hit the silver screen in early April and a series of the official Jakks Mario Galaxy Movie toys are now available for pre-purchase ahead of the launch starting from $5 at Amazon and Walmart. 

Earlier this month high-end pinball machine maker Stern announced an official partnership with The Pokémon Company, and today we are getting our first look and details on the new crossover machines. 

Coming in right behind yesterday’s big LEGO Maersk Dual-Fuel Shipping Vessel reveal, the brick-built company has unveiled five new LEGO Star Wars sets based on the upcoming Mandalorian & Grogu movie that already have fans buzzing in excitement. The best part is that most are open for pre-orders, and folks won’t be waiting too much longer before they officially release either. Earlier this week Sony officially announced when its first major State of Play showcase of 2026 would be, and that day has arrived. Throughout the year we get our fair share of these things, some far less special than others, and while we aren’t sure exactly what’s on the slate this afternoon, all signs point to this being a serious showcase. 

So far this month, LEGO has given us a few vehicle-related reveals, with the Icons Project Hail Mary set and the Icons Ford Model T set, and now we’re getting the next big unveiling following this trend with the upcoming 40955 Maersk Dual-Fuel Container Vessel. Sadly, unlike those other two, this set isn’t getting any pre-order opportunities ahead of its official release, but folks won’t have to wait long to get their hands on this long-awaited build. The official 2026 Amazon Presidents Day sale is now live.
