Nintendo historically hosts a big Direct in June, but last year things were seemingly shifted because of the Switch 2 launch and this left expectations up in the air for 2026. However, industry insiders claimed we were getting something along those lines this month, and one of them just doubled down to confirm/leak the date.

We are yet to get official word from Rockstar, according to one of the country’s biggest retailers, the latest entry for one of the biggest games of the last decade will go up for pre-order today ahead of the scheduled fall release date – but we will believe it when we see it.

Nintendo had a giant 2025 with the launch of its next-generation console, record-breaking sales, and some top-tier game releases.
