The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom pre-order bonuses are starting to go live folks. This summer’s Nintendo Direct was easily one of the most exciting in recent memory and, at least for me, the most exciting showcase of the year in all of gaming. Not only did we catch our first glimpse of the shiny new golden Hyrule Edition Nintendo Switch Lite (pre-orders are still live by the way), but we also got one of the most impressive lineup of first-party Nintendo games in a long while if you ask me – Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom, Mario & Luigi: Brothership, Donkey Kong Country Returns, Super Mario Party Jamboree, and perhaps the biggest surprise of them all, an actual look at the fabled Metroid Prime 4: Beyond, and that’s just to name a few. While we will have to wait until next year to take control of the “galaxy’s greatest bounty hunter, Samus Aran,” the new Zelda game is right around the corner now and some sweet pre-order bonuses have arrived. 

Heads up Switch Online members, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team is on the way soon. Nintendo has now taken to its official X (Twitter) feed to announce the latest edition to its Expansion Pack lineup just after the debut Zelda Four Swords, Metroid: Zero Mission, Perfect Dark, and the original Super Mario Land. The Red Rescue Team edition of Pokémon Mystery Dungeon will go live for members in exactly one week from today.

Well we weren’t sure if it was going to make it stateside or not, but the official Nintendo of America  X (Twitter) account has now confirmed the new official first-party two-way Joy-Con Charging Stand will be releasing come October of this year. This announcement and release comes nearly 7.5 years after the launch of Nintendo Switch…is this better late than never or just a sign of the all but imminent Switch 2 inching even closer to release?

Pre-orders are now live on the new Hyrule Edition Nintendo Switch Lite ahead of the September 26 release date. The special edition portable Switch handheld console made its worldwide debut back in June alongside the new Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom that is set for release on the same day. Pre-orders for both the new Zelda game and the shiny new Switch Lite edition are now at the ready via retailers like Best Buy and we suspect the console might not be around for very long. 

Well, what will hopefully be an exciting and uneventful summer Nintendo Direct showcase has arrived. As promised with yesterday’s official announcement, Nintendo is set to host a 40-minute Nintendo Direct to showcase featuring a series of new games and updates on titles headed to Switch through 2024, and you can follow along with us down below. 

The Summer Game Fest has come and gone, Ubisoft Forward showcased the latest on the big upcoming Assassin’s Creed release, and Microsoft hosted an epic game summer showcase with the reveal of new Xbox Series X|S hardware, but we aren’t done just yet. Following the release of Wrecking Crew ’98, Nintendo finally brought the original Super Mario Land to its Game Boy library for members, and now it’s time from some serious Robot Master blasting Blue Bomber action with five classic Mega Man titles. Today’s console game deals are headlined by a new all-time low on a Switch party game for the kids, the fam, or when you’ve had to much to drink with your friends. Amazon is now offering Everybody 1-2 Switch! on sale for $9.99 with free shipping for Prime members or in orders over $35. This one is also matched at Best Buy as well. The regularly $30 party game released last summer as the latest entry in the series and is now seeing a deep 67% price drop. This is $20 off and the lowest price we have ever tracked on Amazon. Nintendo is taking it way back with its latest additions to the Switch Online game library, and I mean way back, like late ‘80s back. After seeing a slew of classic Mario titles land on the service for Mario 2024, followed by the previously unreleased in North America Wrecking Crew ’98, Nintendo is finally ready to bring the original Super Mario Game Boy experience to Switch Online members everywhere. Super Mario Land, alongside Baseball – a game so old, it’s just called Baseball – and Alleyway, are now live on Switch Online as part of Nintendo’s celebration of 35 years of Game Boy. Today, Nintendo unveiled what’s next for its World Championships and it’s all about speed. The new Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition was unveiled today, delivering a collection of bite-size speed running challenges spanning some of its most classic and beloved retro titles. The new collection for Switch is looking to make you The Wizard and bring the epic Nintendo World Championships to your home console. Okay Nintendo fans, we have some bitter but mostly pretty sweet news coming from the Mushroom Kingdom today. After years (what feels like a lifetime) of rumors and supposed leaks at the Nintendo Switch successor, we have some official confirmation from Nintendo today. Whether it’s the fabled Nintendo Switch Pro, Switch 2, or otherwise, Nintendo has now confirmed an imminent announcement “about the successor to Nintendo Switch” alongside confirmation of this year’s big Nintendo summer games showcase. Amazon is now offering the Nintendo Switch Joy-Con Neon Red and Blue Controllers for $66.78 shipped. This is down from the usual $80 price tag as the first and only discount of 2024. You’ll save $13 on the most iconic color combo of Joy-Con controllers while bringing home an extra set of gamepads for game nights and more. This is the first price cut in over a month and beats our previous mention by an extra $5. It’s one of the best prices of the year. As we mentioned yesterday after the official announcement, Nintendo is hosting a new IndieWorld Direct presentation today to showcase a series of upcoming titles coming to Switch.
