I was first introduced to the world of robotic vacuums with the ECOVACS DEEBOT N79 nearly a year and a half ago. And while it was perfect for apartment life, upon moving home I figured it was time to upgrade to something more high-tech. Don’t get me wrong, the N79 is great, but its smartphone control is more basic and seemed out-of-place amongst the other Wi-Fi-enabled devices scattered around my smart home.
Enter the DEEBOT 901, the latest in ECOVAC’s diverse lineup of robotic vacuums. Over the past week, I’ve been putting it to the test and have been incredibly impressed how much tech has managed to be packed into a relatively small form-factor.
It looks like two of the biggest things in gaming are about to come together if recent leaks hold any weight. Nintendo Switch has already absolutely destroyed sales numbers when comparing to both the Wii U and the Wii, not to mention Xbox One and PS4. Meanwhile, Fortnite has slowly taken the reigns in the battle royale space, seemingly leaving the originator, PUBG, in the dust. Well, now it looks Fortnite developer Epic Games may actually be bringing the most popular game out there to the most popular console.

Over the past few years, some of the most notable LEGO releases have been from the Technic line of sets. Aside from a few outliers like the UCS Millennium Falcon and the Taj Mahal, if you’ve been looking to pick up the most massive kits you can, odds are you’d opt for one of the many Technic vehicles.
Back at the end of January, LEGO teased the eventual release of its latest Technic kit, the Bugatti Chiron, and now we’ve finally gotten the full scope. Stacking up to just under 3,600 pieces, the massive brick-built recreation of the famous super sports a slick blue exterior and plenty of details.
E3 is on the way, and with it, so are many games. We’ve already seen the Black Ops 4 announcement, Battlefield V, and even Fallout 76. It’s time for Assassin’s Creed to hit the spotlight, whether Ubisoft wants it to or not.
Ubisoft launched Assassin’s Creed Syndicate back in 2015, and no one really fawned over it. Because of this, Ubisoft decided to launch the next title after two years in order to take more time to develop a better game. According to some sources, this new Assassin’s Creed, dubbed Odyssey, will come in Ubisoft’s 2019 fiscal year, which would bring it right in line with that two-year release cycle.
Xiaomi has done it again. Today the company announced an upgrade to its Mi Band. Similar to its predecessor, the Mi Band 2, the Mi Band 3 is a fitness tracker packed with lots of features at a very affordable price. It retains many features, and somehow they found a way to pack in new features while keeping the price nearly the same. A move that clashes with the recent trend of consumer electronics becoming more expensive year over year.

And for fans looking for a chance to have their creations adapted by LEGO, this past month has seen plenty of potential new kits landing on LEGO Ideas.
At the beginning of May, we took a look at the next ten potential LEGO Ideas kits. And while it’ll still be until later this fall before any of these builds gain the company’s approval, today LEGO did announce its third round of results from Ideas kits submitted last year.
Of the seven builds that managed to lock in 10,000 supporters in the third part of 2017, only one was inevitably chosen to hit store shelves as a bona-fide LEGO kit; the fan-favorite Pop-Up Book.
Last year HP showed that it was putting more of an effort into its gaming lineup with its laptops that weighed over 10-pounds. A move that showed HP was not willing to sacrifice raw power for portability, it was something that many gaming enthusiasts would cheer for. During the summer, kids are out of school with a lot more free time on their hands. If your kids are like mine, after a long day of playing outside, they enjoy playing a few games, watching Netflix, and browsing YouTube Kids. They do all these things on an iPad. One of the things you’ll want to think about is how you are protecting your children from the not so nice parts of the internet. Another thing you’ll want to consider is how much time they are spending on the internet as well.
Back when Amazon purchased Whole Foods, we knew it was only a matter of time before they’d start offering shopping benefits to Prime members. A few weeks ago we reported that Whole Foods would begin offering Prime users exclusive discounts alongside an additional 10% off across hundreds of the store’s items.
Sadly, not every Whole Foods shopper was able to lock in the benefits, as only locations in Florida were privy to the deals and rewards. Today, Amazon will be changing that, expanding the Whole Foods Prime members to 12 additional states, encompassing 365 total stores.
When it comes to smart TVs, good interfaces are few and far between for built-in options. Most first-party smart interfaces are cumbersome and clumsy to navigate, stop getting updates shortly after the TV is released, and just don’t work well period.
If you’re lucky enough for your TV to support Google Cast, then that’s a bonus, but you have to use a phone, tablet, or computer in order to project content to the big screen. The other option is to plug an Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, or Fire TV into your setup and let that handle the content delivery. Amazon wants to change that and recently teamed up with Best Buy and Toshiba to announce the Fire TV Edition, available now.
Wyze Camera is a great little security option for those on a budget. Recording 1080p, motion tracking, and night vision, the little camera is a great buy at $20. I have a few and love them, as they’re great for static shots.
One place where Wyze was lacking, however, was actual movement. The original Wyze camera (and V2) both were static cameras, meaning they aimed where you pointed. But, that all changes today with the Wyze Cam Pan.
E3 2018 is fast approaching and we are now around two weeks away from the big announcements. But as expected, we are already starting to get some pre-show unveils and leaks. Last night, The Pokémon Company International in partnership with Nintendo announced the three latest titles in the Pokémon franchise, all of which will be making their way to the Switch. While one is a more casual, mobile-friendly game, the two new standouts, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, pack everything we’ve come to love about Kanto, but with a few twists that make it shine as the series’ first title to debut on the Switch.

Bose took to crowdfunding site Indiegogo late last year in a somewhat odd move for the iconic audio company. It was looking for testers on a new set of Noise-Masking Sleepbuds designed to help you, as the name suggests, get a better night’s rest. In fact, the company ended up selling about 3,000 pairs of prototypes to a lucky few, but now it looks like the Noise-Making Sleepbuds are going prime time.

Nintendo Switch has been an absolute rampage since the day it launched. It has been crushing all kinds of sales records in the United States and Japan. In fact, Nintendo said it sold more Switch consoles in the first year of sales than Wii U across its entire shelf life. We all knew Wii U sales were weak, but that is pretty impressive. According to reports, it is the fastest selling console in both markets and that’s including the legendary PlayStation 2 and the revolutionary Nintendo Wii.
Needless to say, we shouldn’t be expecting any official price drops any time soon, but it does look like Nintendo is readying a more affordable, slimmed down Switch bundle.
