A great home Wi-Fi connection is something that was nice to have ten years ago but wasn’t something most people put a lot of effort into (and certainly not money). The iPhone was only a year old, the iPad wasn’t even out, and we certainly weren’t cutting the cord for streaming services. In 2008, I had three devices in my home that used Wi-Fi. In 2018, I have 25 (iPads, iPhones, Macs, Nest thermostats, and HomeKit-enabled devices). A great home Wi-Fi connection is required for all of these devices to work well.
Nintendo and Sony have now announced that Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate will be hitting the Switch in just a few months time. While many felt the monster hunting on Nintendo’s hardware was gone for good after Capcom shifted to PS4 and Xbox One with its latest release, Generations Ultimate is coming back with a fresh coat of paint and more.

We are in the midst of the re-release era. Whether it be the countless number of classic titles being re-launched for current generation hardware or the specialty consoles that have taken the retail world by storm over the last year or more, gaming nostalgia is at an all-time high. Nintendo’s miniature consoles have been insanely popular and now Sega is ready to jump on board along with Japanese gaming company SNK.
Last month the company teased what appeared to be some kind of mini console release loaded with its classics games, akin to the SNES Classic Edition. While that is not exactly the case, we are certainly getting a specialty console from SNK, it is miniature and we have the first pictures of it down below.

When Nintendo Switch first arrived on the scene last year, one of the biggest complaints was the flimsy kickstand on the backside of the console. It offered little support, was easy to break, and quite simply didn’t do much in the way of offering additional value.
Nintendo is looking to remedy the situation with its new adjustable charging stand for Switch, that’s slated to arrive this summer. The $20 stand sits as an alternative to the higher-priced dock that’s been available since launch. The question is, are gamers ready to shell out even more money to fix something Nintendo could’ve remedied from the outset?
As of late, more and more audiophile-grade headphones have opted for planar magnetic drivers rather than traditional ones. And while they do boast rich audio output, these headphones often require an additional amp to work with our smartphones and computers. Audeze, a veteran in the high-end audio space, is looking to tackle this problem with its latest pair of headphones. Sporting a sleek design and crisp sound playback, the LCD-4z headphones also carry an equally impressive price tag.

After Fortnite went battle royale-style and more recently adding loads of new content in the way of both gaming changing events, new stories and more, it is easily one of the most popular titles out there right now. Developer Epic is constantly updating and enhancing the experience in order to stay a step ahead of competitors in the genre like PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, which doesn’t seem to have the infrastructure for continued evolution the way Fortnite does. These kinds of things weigh heavily on the success of a free-to-play MMO, and Epic Games has done a fantastic job of keeping interest at an all-time high.
And now the game is set to launch a limited cross over event that will team it up with the most popular thing in movies right now, Marvel superheroes. Or more specifically Marvel’s ultimate bad guy.

Amazon’s Echo lineup has taken the world by storm. Personally, I have 4 of these devices around my home (along with HomePod and Google Home devices, but we’ll ignore that for this post.) But, one thing about the Echo (or any other smart speaker) is that generally, you’re limited to one place for use.
Sure, Amazon has the Echo Tap to bring with you on trips, but it doesn’t have always listening and is fairly limited in the sound department. That’s where Nintey7 comes in. The company specializes in making battery bases for smart speakers, and they just launched the SKY Battery Base for Echo 2.
These days, it’s hard to look past just how big the Star Wars franchise has become. And as one of the most culturally-significant and beloved series of all-time, whenever props used in the original three films go up for auction, there’s a real cause for commotion. Learn moreIn what seems like another day, another new promotion, Amazon is today unveiling a subscription service aimed at kids (or parents) looking to increase their reading library. While currently in beta, this book box service is a departure from Amazon’s latest digital offerings with eyes on returning to its roots.
The new $23 subscription plan is the first of its kind at Amazon, which arrived on the e-commerce scene years ago as a bookstore. Over the years, its empire has expanded to cover nearly every category with new initiatives popping up daily. The question is, with physical books quickly becoming a thing of the past, what will consumers’ response be like in 2018?

Atari today announced a concrete pre-order start date, where the VCS can be ordered, initial pricing information, and a general shipping timeframe.

RAM is essential for any computer, and RAM choice is especially important in custom gaming builds. What used to be ugly green sticks that no one wanted to look at are now beautiful designs covered with heat shields. Now, some even come in RGB flavors.
