E3 is on the way, and with it, so are many games. We’ve already seen the Black Ops 4 announcement, Battlefield V, and even Fallout 76. It’s time for Assassin’s Creed to hit the spotlight, whether Ubisoft wants it to or not.

Ubisoft launched Assassin’s Creed Syndicate back in 2015, and no one really fawned over it. Because of this, Ubisoft decided to launch the next title after two years in order to take more time to develop a better game. According to some sources, this new Assassin’s Creed, dubbed Odyssey, will come in Ubisoft’s 2019 fiscal year, which would bring it right in line with that two-year release cycle.

While one is a more casual, mobile-friendly game, the two new standouts, Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Eevee!, pack everything we’ve come to love about Kanto, but with a few twists that make it shine as the series’ first title to debut on the Switch.

Rumors of the PlayStation 5 have already begun to hit the internet and Sony recently made it clear that PS4 is nearing the end of its days. While for many the nearly half-decade old machine is about ready to be replaced, others have just recently upgraded to PS4 Pro and are more than happy to see whatever is next take a couple more years. Head of PlayStation, John Kodera, recently stated that while the company expects solid sales numbers across 2018, PS4 has certainly entered the “end of its lifecycle.”

Nintendo Switch has been an absolute rampage since the day it launched. It has been crushing all kinds of sales records in the United States and Japan. In fact, Nintendo said it sold more Switch consoles in the first year of sales than Wii U across its entire shelf life. We all knew Wii U sales were weak, but that is pretty impressive. According to reports, it is the fastest selling console in both markets and that’s including the legendary PlayStation 2 and the revolutionary Nintendo Wii.

After the release of Resident Evil 6 back in October of 2012, many gamers began to feel both a fatigue on the series and were just generally unpleased with the direction it had been taking over the course of the last couple games. RE4 is easily one of the best games in the series and was able to strike a fantastic balance between horror, exploration and action. In an attempt to return the series to its roots and what made 4 so good, Capcom took RE7 in a new direction focusing almost solely on exploration, scares and immersion.

A couple of months back we got word from developer Hello Games that its ambitious No Man’s Sky title would be getting some major new enhancements this summer. With the world’s biggest gaming event of the year right around the corner now, excitement is raging for the next major releases. But that month before E3 can also be a precarious one for game devs and publishers as they fight back against leaks and the like. However, Bethesda has decided to play in to it this year after Walmart (accidentally) posted listings for the sequel to Rage 2 a couple of weeks back. Bethesda begun teasing the game on Twitter and elsewhere leaving an announcement all but imminent.

After first detailing its impending return late last year, Nintendo has made good on its promise to bring back the much sought-after NES Classic Edition console. We are in the midst of the re-release era. Destiny 2 has had mixed reviews, and this writer tends to agree with them. I was a hardcore Destiny fan for the first game, and had high hopes for the second, to the point where I even bought it for all three major platforms (PC, PS4, Xbox One.) Yes, I bought 3 copies of Destiny 2 Deluxe and played it quite a bit opening week and then kinda just stopped.

Well, just like the original Destiny game, Bungie has released a few DLC’s for Destiny 2, and it’s time to start playing again. This game series is great once it gets some added content, and today, Bungie released the second expansion for Destiny 2, Warmind.
