August is on the horizon and with it will be coming a wave of anticipated LEGO building sets, which we’ve been seeing leaks and official reveals for left and right for the last few months. After so many LEGO Star Wars news, we’re getting an unexpected change-up with a first look at new leaked images of the upcoming 71438 Super Mario World Mario & Yoshi set, courtesy of a Singaporean LEGO certified store, that is slated for an October release.

It’s been an exciting couple of months with all the latest LEGO news and reveals, and before next month arrives and drops several building sets that fans are already buzzing over, the LEGO Group has just unveiled the first wave of the highly desired LEGO Fortnite sets ahead of their October 2024 release date – and what’s best about this big reveal that’s been years in the making? The veil is being tossed off at the same time that pre-orders have been opened up!

I’m sure all of you, like us here at 9to5Toys, are getting more and more excited as the days get closer to August and its massive release of upcoming LEGO building sets, which we have been extensively covering for months now. The majority of these new builds set to launch are Star Wars additions, like the 75389 The Dark Falcon and 75393 TIE Fighter and X-Wing Mash-up sets or the LEGO 75398 C-3PO figure. Well, today, everyone’s favorite brick-building company has also officially started shipping out the The Force of Creativity coffee-table book ahead of next month’s launch extravaganza, and we’re here to bring you a quick rundown on what to expect.

With LEGO’s Insiders’ Days sale officially over, everyone’s favorite brick-building company has just temporarily brought back its popular LEGO D&D Mimic Dice Box GWP (gift with purchase) for LEGO Insiders who purchase the extensive Ideas 21348 Dungeons & Dragons: Red Dragon’s Tale set that first released back at the start of April. We got a first look nearly two weeks ago when images leaked from Germany, but now this new set is coming in available for pre-order ahead of its newly designated August release with all the photos and information you could need.

More and more engines seem to be rumbling in the LEGO garages, with everyone’s favorite brick-built company revealing the next upcoming Technic 42177 Mercedes-Benz G 500 PROFESSIONAL Line set, which will join both the Technics 42174 Emirates Team New Zealand AC75 Yacht and 42172 McLaren P1 sets for an August release. The company has officially revealed the upcoming Ideas 21350 Jaws build set, with more photos and some new information, but no way to pre-order it yet. Coming right in the wake of the LEGO Technic 42174 Emirates Team New Zealand AC75 Yacht set’s unveiling, as well as the most recent first looks at the LEGO Star Wars 75388 Jedi Bob’s Starfighter set, this Jaws build is the 58th addition to the LEGO Ideas lineup that will make landfall a few days later than initially reported. We are big fans of the LEGO botanical sets around here and it looks like some new LEGO foliage is on the way to brighten your space – no watering needed. The adorable Tiny Plants set debuted at the tail end of last year (and is currently on sale right here) to expand your LEGO, brick-built greenhouse, but a pair of new set have been spotted via French retailer Fnac resting in blocky vases atop brick-built wooden trays. Well, brick-built Nintendo fans are in for a serious treat as LEGO just officially unveiled the new Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set (#77092). Combining the legendary Deku Tree from The Legend of Zelda series with an impressive brick-built construction, epic Korok miniature figurines, and mini figs for both Zelda and the Hero of Light himself, the set clocks in at 2,500 pieces and you can get a closer look below. 

Following the official reveal of the 1,506-piece LEGO Icons Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole, which is now set for release on the same day as the new LEGO Bumblebee Transformers set that is directly inspired by the classic 1984 cartoon series, some not so official news of a pair of new LEGO Speed Champions sets are now making headlines. Ready to race through the finish line in summer 2024, the new 76934 Ferrari F40 and 76935 NASCAR Next Gen Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 have been spotted on a French retail site ahead of what appears to be a launch date in roughly two month’s time. Just after the reveal of the new Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole and the epic 2,500-piece Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set, the next brick-built release has been officially unveiled with the new Transformers 10338 Bumblebee set. Following the release of the 2022 Optimus Prime kit, LEGO has now delivered on the Autobot action with thew 950-piece LEGO Icons theme Bumblebee. Set for release on July 1, 2024 for Insiders and a few days later on July 4 for everyone else, this is one will carry an $89.99 price tag and you can get a closer look down below. 

Just after getting official news of the upcoming 2,500-piece Legend of Zelda Great Deku Tree 2-in-1 set, LEGO is back today with another, arguably even more, nostalgic entry…and this time to its Icons theme. Taking it way back to the ‘80s – this thing is giving me some serious Grand Theft Auto Vice City vibes, the new 10337 Lamborghini Countach has to be one of the more epic builds to enter the Icons theme for me, delivering a large-scale rendition of the legendary classic Lamborghini release. The new build will soon be available for pre-order at $179.99 ahead of its July release and you can get more details on it down below alongside some up close imagery.

Alongside this morning’s reveal of the new UCS TIE Interceptor, the LEGO Group has something else planned for Star Wars Day. The final set to launch on May 1 has been revealed as the new BrickHeadz The Phantom Menace set including buildable versions of six different characters from Episode I.

Today, we’re getting a first look at the all-new LEGO UCS TIE Interceptor. Arriving next month as set number 75382, the newest LEGO Ultimate Collector Series set will be delivering the largest and most detailed rendition of the Imperial TIE Interceptor to date with over 1,900 pieces.

We can share official photos of three new LEGO Star Wars sets today.
