Roomlia hotel savings app adds loyalty program: stay 7 nights, get 1 free

The popular Roomlia hotel savings application for iOS and Android is today launching an interesting newangled loyalty program. Basically, if you stay 7 nights, you will get a night free.

In order to get to that free night, the application will add up the amount you paid each night for your first 7 nights, and then it will credit you back the average. In most cases, this will obviously work out to an eight night free.

The cool parts about the program, which differentiate it from competitors, are that these are actual nights, not days, and the nights can be combined. You don’t need to stay 7 nights in a row to get the credit back toward an either night. You can stay for 3 nights during one trip, and 4 nights on another trip to get up to the 7.

The app is developed by a team made up of former Expedia developers, the application actually has some great deals that beat out some of the competition.

New hotels and supported cities are added each week, and users can book rooms up to 7 days in advance, for up to 5 nights at a time.

The application is free on iOS and Android, and the new loyalty card system launches today.

hyperkin-smart-boy-iphone-new-01

Hyperkin, a company known for its retro gaming hardware and accessories, leaked some initial details and concept drawings for an upcoming Game Boy-style iPhone add-on recently. Initially considered an April Fools’ joke by many, and it partially was, but the company has since confirmed its validity:

“A lot of you were speculating that the Smart Boy is an April Fools’ Joke. Well, it sort of was. We “leaked” it with the initial intent of testing the market, seeing whether or not it should be something we’d actually make, under the guise of an April Fools’ Joke…Looks like you awesome folks ACTUALLY WANT IT, so the Smart Boy is now in development! Thank you all for your enthusiastic responses!”

As you can see, the Smart Boy smartphone peripheral is clearly a reality and currently in development. Head below to find out more about what it has to offer: Read more

onkyo-dac-iphone

Most of us enjoy our audio, albeit from iTunes or Spotify or the like, on an iPhone when we are on the go. The reality is that while iPhones are a decent source for audio, the internal make-up isn’t as strong as it could be when it comes to enjoying your favorite tunes.

This is where a digital-to-analog-converter can really come in handy, taking the stress off your device and letting the DAC do all the work. Audio accessory maker Onkyo has a new solution that utilizes the Lightning port instead of the typical 3.5mm jack to provide higher-fidelity audio. Read more
