Just a month ago we reported that Nintendo would be sunsetting its beloved NES and SNES Classic consoles. A recent discovery has shown that 22 of the system’s titles may be coming to the service sometime in the future.

At CES 2019, Ecovacs Robotics showed off its latest robot vacuum, the Deebot Ozmo 960. What differentiates the Ozmo 960 from some of the company’s other high-end cleaners is the implementation of AI that detects obstacles like cables, socks, and more. Once it finds these items, the robot avoids them entirely so it doesn’t clog itself and or damage the item in question.
Without a doubt, this is a feature that every robot vacuum should have, but don’t. Thankfully this type of innovation is bound to expand throughout the rest of the market since it is what consumers expect from automated devices.

While Amazon already has a healthy video on demand service with its Prime Video offerings, this week it has expanded further to reach a whole new audience. Amazon’s IMDb subsidiary is taking the wraps off its new Freedive streaming service. Although ad-supported, it’s available for anyone to use for free. While inventory is admittedly somewhat thin at launch (more on that below), with Amazon’s backing, Freedive has the chance to be a very viable service for cordcutters. When it comes to taking photos or shooting video on your camera, generally speaking, an SD card will be your go-to storage method. With video files (and photos) only increasing in size as the resolutions climb, it’s getting harder and harder to shoot lengthy sessions of either photos or videos without having multiple cards around. With Lexar’s 1TB SDXD card, that’s a worry of the past.
It only took a few weeks of using Alexa to make me want everything I own to offer some sort of integration with Amazon’s ever-popular voice assistant. Prior to adding around fifteen Echo Dots throughout my home, I would have seen something like Cybic’s Alexa-equipped Legend bicycle as sort of ridiculous, but now I actually want one.
In addition to Alexa, the Cybic Legend also packs impressive features like Wi-Fi, 3G, and a touchscreen. All of this is put into what I consider a sleek-looking design that I would love to ride along the trails around my home.

One of the biggest trends of CES 2019 appears to be consumer-focused laser projectors. We’ve already seen familiar brands like Hisense and LG unveil their own home theater projection system this year. Now newcomer Vava is stepping up to the plate with its own 4K laser projector.
From a distance, it appears that Vava is checking all of the boxes on its latest release. You’ll find 4K and HDR certification here, along with a 30W Harman Kardon audio system plus support for select DTS codecs. The question is, can Vava compete in an already crowded market dominated by some of the biggest names in the game? More below.
Microsoft’s Surface Studio is the king of Windows-based all-in-ones. In my book, Apple still rules the roost here, but the Surface Studio is a good competitor for artists who want to draw on their desktop. Now, Lenovo is entering the mix with its Yoga A940 all-in-one. Coming in at more than $1,000 below Microsoft’s Surface Studio price, this could become the go-to all-in-one for artists.
Lenovo didn’t skimp out on specs, either. The Yoga A940 should hold its own against both the Surface Studio and even some models of the iMac, though the iMac Pro still wins in the all-out power department. Lenovo’s Yoga A940 sports some very unique (and awesome) features, however, so keep reading to learn more.

Elgato, a company known for its gaming gear, has set out to fix these problems with its new Key Light.

Once you have tried Qi charging, plugging in a cable immediately feels antiquated. While 4K is finally becoming mainstream enough that it’s affordable for the masses, 8K is on the horizon. Today at CES 2019, Samsung announced its latest QLED 8K TVs with sizes ranging from 65-inches to 85-inches.
Samsung’s latest 8K TVs features Quantum Processors, Quantum HDR 32x, and 8K AI Upscaling. This means that no matter what you send to your TV, it’s going to be upscaled as best possible for the highest-quality experience Samsung can provide.
Truth be told, outside of the 4K monitor mounted to my desk, I have not really embraced UHD. While this is partly due to not typically seeing a large difference between 1080p and 4K streams, the main reason is a lack of other exciting features to push me over the edge and invest in new gear. With my recently-established love for Alexa, ViewSonic’s upcoming X Series may have what it takes to inch me along in spending the money required on a UHD projector.
