We first reported on PUBG’s arrival to PlayStation back in September when it was just a rumor. Now, two months later (almost exactly), we’ve learned that PUBG PS4 will finally launch on December 7th.

There will be pre-order bonuses for those who want it, and both disk or digital copies available. For those who don’t want to pay $60 for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 (our review) just to play Blackout, or wait until next year for Battlefield V’s Firestorm, this is a great option for PlayStation 4 gamers.

Ok, let’s be real. One of the best (and worst) maps in Call of Duty history is Nuketown. I first got my taste of small maps with Modern Warfare: 2 on Rust, but Nuketown takes the cake in this writer’s opinion. Now, finally, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Nuketown is here.

So far, Nuketown has made appearances in all Call of Duty: Black Ops games, from the original to both II and III. The layout always remains the same, though the aesthetics are generally changed up from game to game. I can’t wait to dive into Nuketown on Black Ops 4, as it has been on my wishlist since our review.

Nostalgia and classical games seem to be making a comeback. We’ve got the PlayStation Classic, rumors of the Nintendo 64 Classic, SNES Classic, and now SEGA Genesis Classics for Nintendo Switch.

This new launch is different from the others, though. While the PlayStation Classic and other relaunches actually rebuilt the entire console, this will let you play SEGA Genesis Classics on your Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch is one of the world’s best-selling consoles. Though sales started to dwindle a few months ago, the company was closing in on 20,000,000 units sold back in July. One feature that many Switch owners want, but have never been given any word on, is a YouTube app. Currently, the only streaming app that is on the Switch is Hulu. Could we finally see YouTube on Nintendo Switch? We’ll find out on November 8th.

Mobile gaming is a huge industry these days. Even desktop and console titles like Fortnite and PlayerUnknowns: Battlegrounds have found their way to iPhone and Android. The one place sorely lacking with mobile gaming, however, is controller support. But that’s where Rotor Riot comes in.

Playing on a touchscreen is fine for titles like Subway Surfers or Clash of Clans, but for a fast-paced title like Fortnite, PUBG, or even Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, a controller is a must. With Nintendo’s launch of NES and SNES classic consoles plus Sony’s original Playstation reboot, companies have been working harder than ever to bring old games back to life. These systems store games directly on the console and let you play them without the need for additional hardware. While this is likely the preferred method for most, it certainly comes with its own set of problems. One of the major ones being that the games you want to play may not be available.

To solve this problem, third-party companies like Analogue are fully embracing the retro experience by offering consoles that accept original game cartridges. Analogue’s latest offering, the Mega Sg, was announced by the company earlier today and will play over 2,000 original cartridges made for Sega Genesis, Mega Drive, and Master System.

Perhaps one of the things that Nintendo is best-known for is its ability to cash in on nostalgia. October is a great month for gameplay and though we see the release of Black Ops 4 tomorrow, the October Xbox update was released today. The Xbox One October Update brings with it many awesome upgrades and a few new features.

Headlining those new features are Alexa commands and Dolby Vision support. We first talked about Dolby Vision support back in July when it was just a rumor still. Sony has still yet to push out Dolby Vision support, being the higher-end of the two main DVR formats. After plenty of drama, Sony has finally given in. That’s right. Fortnite crossplay is finally coming to PlayStation 4 beginning today.
