Save $400 on Samsung’s 34-inch Odyssey OLED G8 monitor at $1,100 Amazon low

graphical user interface, website Reg. $1,500/$1,100

Samsung today just launched its new Odyssey OLED G9 monitor, only to see Amazon markdown the monitor’s predecessor. The Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 normally sells for $1,500, but is now resting at $1,099.99 shipped. This $400 price cut is delivering a new all-time low, as well as one of the first overall chances to save since beginning to ship back in February. While it’s not quite as massive as the new G9 version that’s now up for pre-order, the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8 still brings some notable specs to your battlestation. Everything starts with a 34-inch OLED panel that is the first one Samsung has used in one of its gaming monitors, sporting an 1800R curvature with 21:9 aspect ratio. There’s a 175Hz refresh rate to complement the 0.03ms response times and AMD FreeSync Pro for good measure. As far as connecting in your gear, there are Micro HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort connections as well as onboard smart features and Samsung’s Gaming Hub. We further cover what to expect in our launch coverage from earlier in the year, too.

Amazon’s latest Echo speaker fall to 2023 lows: Studio $160, 5th Gen Dot from $28, more

Reg. $50+/From $28

Amazon’s most capable smart speaker has been enjoying its place at the top of the Alexa lineup without any price cuts as of late, and now to start the work week we’re tracking the year’s second chance to save. The Echo Studio fittingly gets its name from the sort of studio sound you’ll be able to enjoy from its robust internal speaker system, and now you can do so with a 2023 all-time low. The smart speaker clocks in at $159.99 shipped in both the original charcoal style, as well as the recently-refreshed glacier colorway. Normally fetching $200 in either case, you’re looking at only the second chance this year to save with $40 in cash kept in your wallet. We last saw the speaker on sale back at the very beginning of May, for comparison.

Amazon’s flagship Echo Studio speaker arrives with a fabric-wrapped design that still keeps it at home in amongst the other Alexa devices from the company, while stepping up the design to fit in all of the higher-end audio components. There’s notably Spatial Audio processing tech packed in to deliver even more immersive sound from its 5-speaker system that comes backed by Dolby Atmos certification. There’s of course all of the streaming service support from the likes of Amazon Music, Apple Music, and Spotify, as well as all the hands-free Alexa access you’d expect for controlling smart home gear, answering questions, and helping out in the kitchen. Then Amazon backs the smart home tech with a built-in Zigbee and Matter hub for an even longer list of supported devices. Dive into our announcement coverage for a closer look.

Logitech’s Lift vertical mouse for Mac falls lower than ever before at $60 (Reg. $70)

As one of the first price cuts from its usual $70 going rate, this lands at a new all-time low with $10 in savings attached. Providing a more affordable take on Logitech’s popular ergonomic mouse compared to its MX counterpart, the Logitech Lift arrives with much of the same comfort and Mac-friendly focus. Back when I reviewed the mouse, I found that it made all of the right compromises to land at that retail price, making the upright design, Bluetooth and Logitech Bolt wireless connectivity, and 4,000 DPI sensor all the more notable. The experience is further explored in our Tested with 9to5Toys review, too.

Amazon is offering the latest ASUS ROG Strix RTX 4080 16GB Graphics Card for $1,319.99 shipped. Down from a list price of $1,500, it has been going for $1,450 since April. About a week or two ago, it fell to $1,350 and today’s deal comes in at a new all-time low that we’ve tracked. Based on NVIDIA’s latest Ada Lovelace architecture, the RTX 4080 is one of the most powerful graphics cards on the market. With 4th Generation Tensor cores and 3rd Generation RT cores, this GPU is ready to handle basically anything you throw at it from 1440p to even 4K gaming. The 3.5-slot design might take up a bit more room in your case, spanning nearly four slots, but it allows for a larger heatspreader and more airflow from the axial-tech fans, resulting in lower GPU temperatures under heavy workloads. There’s also digital power control with high-current power stations and 15K capacitors to keep the GPU fed with power so there aren’t any dips during long gaming sessions. DJI’s Mavic 3 Cine Premium Combo sees first discount at $500 off with RC Pro controller

Reg. $4,999/$4,499

Amazon is offering the DJI Mavic 3 Cine Premium Combo Drone for $4,499 shipped. Down $500 from its typical $4,999 going rate, which it still fetches at Best Buy, today’s deal comes in as the first discount that we’ve seen on this high-end drone since it was released. In fact, this is a fairly rare discount all around because typically the DJI drones we see go on sale are the low- to mid-range models, and we normally don’t see $500 in savings on them either, making this a particularly notable deal. This drone is designed to give you ultra high-quality footage or photos from above. It has a 4/3 CMOS Hassleblad camera which delivers 12.8 stops of dynamic range to “retain more details in highlights and shadows.” The included battery lets you fly for 46 minutes at a time, and you’ll get three total batteries in this kit for over two hours of flight time with the Mavic 3 Cine before you need to stop.

You’ll find omnidirectional obstacle sensing for safer flying, and the included RC Pro controller has a built-in screen and delivers 15-kilometer max transmission range. Further pushing the video functionality, the DJI Mavic 3 Cine features the ability to record in ProRes 422/HQ/LT as well as both H.264 and H.265 formats which will help out in providing more visual information when it comes time to edit. It also has HyperLapse, ActiveTrack, MasterShots, and Waypoint Flight functions so you can pre-program the drone with specific moves and have it perform them automatically for smoother recording. Be sure to watch our hands-on coverage of the Mavic 3 Cine if you want to learn more about the drone. Head below for additional information.

Segway’s new Transformers electric GoKart Pro now $399 off, plus standard model from $1,700

Reg. $2,300/From $1,700

Last fall, Segway teamed up with Hasbro to launch a lineup of Transformers-inspired electric vehicles. Now ahead of the latest film starring the Autobots, Amazon is discounting the lineup’s flagship EV. On sale for one of the first times, the new Segway Ninebot Bumblebee Electric GoKart PRO drops to $1,899.99 shipped. Typically fetching $2,299, you’re now looking at $399 in savings to go alongside the first price cut in months. It has sold for less, with the all-time low arriving back in March at $64 less. Today’s offer though is the second-best price we’ve seen to date.

It doesn’t matter if you’re a dedicated Transformers fan or not, the Ninebot GoKart PRO can handle zipping you or the kids around the block at up to 23 MPH top speeds with a 15-mile range. Its durable design can also be folded down for transportation, and pairs with other features like an electric brake, integrated headlights, and taillights. You can also detach the included Ninebot S MAX which powers the experience for a self-balancing scooter ride alongside the go kart fun. But of course this is the Transformers variant, which comes decked out in a vibrant yellow color scheme fitting for the Bumblebee inspiration. There’s also an Optimus Prime model worth a look for much of the same theming, too. Head below for more.

Not sold on Pixel 7a? Google’s Pixel 6a is now even more affordable with $100 discount to $349

Reg. $449/$349

Google last week just revealed its latest slate of smartphones, delivering a new mid-range device alongside its very first flagship foldable. But for those who just want to skip the higher-end feature sets for something more affordable, the Google Pixel 6a has your back. This entry-level handset already clocks in with a more palatable $449 price tag on any other day, but now is dropping down to one of the best prices of the year. Now on sale for $349 shipped courtesy of Amazon, today’s offer amounts to $100 in savings and is the best we’ve seen since back in December.

Google Pixel 6a arrives as the brand’s now previous-generation budget-friendly handset, taking a much more affordable approach from its flagship Pixel 6/Pro counterparts. Powered by the original Google Tensor chip, everything from there branches out to deliver some capable specs in a more affordable form-factor. The 6.1-inch FHD+ 60Hz display is backed by 24-hour battery life, as well as 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. All of the usual photography prowess from Google is packed into 12MP wide and 12MP ultrawide lenses around the back of the device, too. So if you’re not sold by the just-announced Pixel 7a, this slightly older model delivers even more savings. Our hands-on review offers a better idea of what to expect, as well.
