As we have previously detailed, Apple’s new iPhone 16 Camera Control button has drawn a line in sand among case options; either they have a cutout or a proper conductive button cover. There aren’t very many options out there, save for the official Apple and Beats cases, one OtterBox model, the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T we just went hands-on with and a couple others. But we have just spotted another design from Spigen receiving the Camera Control button treatment – the new Spigen Tough Armor T (Ai) MagFit. This case is available with just a cutout with launch deal at under $25, but there is also now a new “T” model with the same button we came away impressed with on the Ultra Hybrid. 

Moment, a brand well known around for delivering iPhoneography and mobile filmmaker gear, is expanding its lineup of accessories with a new pro-grade phone mount. The new Moment SuperCage transforms your iPhone 16 (as well as other smartphones) into more of a pro-grade video camera rig with a few interesting features, like an onboard USB-C hub. We already featured CASETiFY’s new iPhone 16 cases and the modular attachments they support, and just before that it’s special Winnie the Pooh Co-Labs collection, but today it’s all about Groot. Meta has finally announced its new Quest 3S VR headset, which delivers a lot of the same features as the Quest 3 for a relatively affordable price. The new Meta Quest 3S is now available to pre-order and it starts shipping on October 15. Samsung has announced its new 990 EVO Plus SSD, an upgraded version of its hybrid storage solution with PCIe 4.0 support and the latest NAND technology. The brand’s new 990 EVO Plus will be available in 1TB, 2TB, and 4TB capacities when it goes on sale this Fall at Samsung’s online store and other retailers like Amazon, with the suggested retail price of $109.99 for the 1TB model, $184.99 for the 2TB model, and $344.99 for the 4TB model. We’ve already gotten some recent LEGO partnership news that has plenty of builders abuzz with excitement, like the LEGO Group joining Formula 1 to bring us more high-speed sets or the team-up with Nike that has teased plenty of co-branded mystery, but yesterday we got even more highly anticipated news as LEGO and Guerilla Games finally announced the official release date for the upcoming LEGO Horizon Adventures video game! As we reported yesterday, Sony is hosting the next State of Play this afternoon and we are here to watch it along with you. We knew there was going to be 30+ minutes of news and updates on upcoming PS5 games and PS VR2 titles, as per Sony’s official announcement, but it looks like an update on the PlayStation Store might have given up, at least, some of the surprises we would have been in for today as well (more details on this below). We aren’t expecting to see any new hardware, considering how busy Sony has been on that front over the last week or so with PS5 Pro and the 30th anniversary PS1-style consoles and controllers, but either way it all starts very soon and you can follow along down below.

Much like what it did with its Vapor line, Microsoft is expanding its official transparent Cipher Xbox gamepads beyond the sweet Sky blue model we featured recently starting today. Today, Marshall is debuting its next-generation over-ears known as the Marshall Monitor III A.N.C. Headphones. While it did start to slow up briefly, an alleged and quite substantial Switch 2 leak has hit the net with supposed renders of the new upcoming console as well as a host of details on the specs. Several of the details have been corroborated from various sites, but as usual, we have no inside details we can share at this time on the new Nintendo Switch 2, and all of this, despite being quite compelling, should be taken with a grain of salt. 

Bose has now officially unveiled its next-generation QuietComfort wireless earbuds. Very much like Apple just did at its Glowtime event just over a week ago, Bose isn’t dethroning its latest generation flagship QuietComfort Ultra earbuds – its direct competition for the AirPods Pro 2 – but rather updating its mid-ranger QuietComfort buds with the next-gen set. 

Nintendo is expanding its Super NES Switch Online library today with four new titles headlined by Battletoads Double Dragon, classic arcade-style racing, and some retro Super Famicom dodge ball action. Roughly a week before the release of The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom and following new additions to the service like these classic Mega Man titles and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team, all four of the new Switch Online games are available starting right now. The new Eve Light Switch with Matter is debuting today. In the brand’s continued effort to future-proof its popular HomeKit smart home ecosystem, today Eve is launching its Light Switch with Matter, allowing the switch to be controlled directly via iOS 18 on iPhone 15 Pro and the new iPhone 16 devices without a home hub and play nice with the rest of the Matter gear in your setup. It’s official folks, Amazon has now announced this year’s fall Prime Day sale for October 8 and 9. Officially known as Prime Big Deal Days, this year’s event, as we predicted, will take place on the second Tuesday and Wednesday of the month, roughly seven weeks before the big Black Friday festivities kick off and in about three weeks from today. Nintendo has now officially announced this year’s Switch holiday bundles, and you guessed it…it’s Mario Kart, again. There is one major distinction in the iPhone case market this year for the launch of Apple’s series 16 handsets, Camera Control.
