Continuing with the 20th anniversary of LEGO’s Star Wars theme, today we’re getting a look at the latest kit from a galaxy far, far way. In what is a perfect follow up to this year’s Tanitive IV build, fans will be able to bring home a massive recreation of the iconic Star Destroyer. Measuring over 43-inches long, this time LEGO is pulling out all the stops here by including over 4,700 pieces for its third-largest Star Wars creation to date. LEGO and Blizzard’s collaboration began nearly one year ago with the debut of an exclusive Bastion kit. Shortly after that release, we got wind of even more kits on the horizon. Last fall the LEGO Ideas team announced that it would be bringing two new fan-made creations to store shelves come 2019. Earlier this year, the first of those launched with the brick-built debut of The Flintstones in February. Now we’re getting our first look at LEGO’s newest Ideas creation, the 21318 Treehouse set. Not only is it the latest fan-made kit, but the upcoming release is also the largest of its kind to date. It’s comprised of over 3,000 pieces and comes packed with minifigures, Plants from Plants bricks, and more. Head below for a closer look.
Earlier this month we got a look at two new Tatooine creations which would be debuting at SDCC. Now LEGO is taking the wraps off the third Comic-Con exclusive build, a new Sith Trooper Bust. As the first kit from Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, the over 480-piece creation assembles the newest member of the First Order. Debuting at the Microsoft E3 2019 press conference, the LEGO Star Wars Skywalker Saga is looking to breathe new life in to the brick-built sci-fi series. While at first it may have come off as a cash grab remake, this is a brand new Star Wars LEGO game. Along with promises of the most interesting open-world yet, an overhauled combat system, and a complete look at the world’s most famous sci-fi saga, 2020 can’t come fast enough. While EA’s new Jedi game seems to have garnered all the attention over the last week or so, don’t count the new LEGO game out just yet. More details below.
