When Nintendo Switch debuted back in 2017, its portable form-factor was arguably its most compelling feature. The thought of taking top-tier Nintendo games on-the-go while still retaining a physical controller excited tons of fans, including myself.

Fast-forward to 2019 and one of the biggest Switch complaints is how uncomfortable it can be to use Joy-Con controllers outside of quick gaming sessions. With today’s unveiling of the Hori Grip, Switch owners may soon have a way to more comfortably embrace portable gaming.

Today Amazon is refreshing its Alexa speaker lineup with a new kids-focused version of the Echo Dot. The new Echo Dot Kids Edition is based around the third-generation mainstream model, complete with all of the expected improvements: upgraded sound, better mics, and a new design. With some upcoming travel and flights, I wanted to find a more convenient way of watching videos on my iPhone while on-the-go. I have a Quad Lock case installed on my iPhone 8, so mounting something else to the middle of my case isn’t really an option. Just a month ago, Amazon opened its first Go autonomous grocery store in New York City while simultaneously testing the waters of accepting cash. Today, another Amazon Go New York City locale is opening at 300 Park Avenue. Unlike the first storefront, it will offer an even wider selection of goods and services, including all three meals, snacks, coffee and espresso. With two locations now in America’s largest city, Amazon is making a serious push on the east coast, a sign that it is ready to expand its primarily San Francisco and Seattle-based offerings. Yesterday, during Microsoft’s big E3 2019 showcase, it detailed the new Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. The new tier features all of the usual Xbox Game Pass perks along with Xbox Live Gold access and Xbox Game Pass for PC. It will go for $15 a month, but you can now jump in for just $1. If you’ve never played Destiny or Destiny 2, you’re missing out. Though the game was plagued by day-1 bugs and other issues, over time it’s grown into one of my favorite games. Walmart has announced a bold new initiative this morning that will bring grocery delivery from the retail giant to a whole new level. Walmart InHome Delivery will give workers access to your home, allowing them to put your food directly into the fridge without shoppers even having to be in the house.
