After first being announced back in January, Key by Amazon is now bringing its in-garage delivery platform to Prime members. The service was originally tested in 37 markets at the beginning of the year and is now available in 50 markets across the United States. Today’s announcement centers around a partnership with Chamberlain and its MyQ smart garage door openers. Smartphone control is a key aspect of this new service, which enables delivery personnel to drop off packages inside your garage whether you are home or not. After first being announced back in January, Puma is now taking its project Fi or Fit Intelligence self-lacing shoes to the next level of production. I have been using security cameras for going on two years now. Initially, I chose the Logitech Circle 2, but after suffering from incessant connectivity issues and lackluster battery life I switched to Blink XT. The change is a night and day difference. Cloud storage is free and load times are lighting fast. I have just one issue and the new Vivint Outdoor Camera Pro takes it seriously.

Adidas has been trumpeting the recycle horn for some time, first announcing its plans to make biodegradable shoes way back in 2016. Since then the brand has slowly been marching towards this week’s announcement of its new Futurecraft Loop shoes. These will be the first kicks from Adidas that are meant to be completely recycled after use into new shoes. Adidas wants all buyers to one day return the shoes to them for reuse later. I’ve written many articles elaborating how Alexa has allowed me to make many things in my home smart. More importantly, it’s been very inexpensive to do so. Dimmable light switches are around $20, smart plugs are easily half of that, and $30 paid for a device that let me use Alexa to control infrared devices.

With fifteen Echo Dots in tow, I’ve begun dabbling with devices that let me use Alexa outside of my home. Roav VIVA is my latest endeavor, allowing me to take Amazon’s assistant with me in the car. Bringing an object from the digital world into the physical world is a pretty addicting experience. The only limit is your imagination when it comes to making pieces that are useful and fun. I’ve had a few items printed from online companies like Shapeways, but wanted to jump into the world of 3D printing on my own.

Monoprice is well-known for affordable electronics, and their 3D printer line definitely has some reasonable options. Let’s get it setup and see how our first print goes. We’re going to go through the setup fairly quickly as it follows along with the manual pretty closely, but I’ll throw in some tips and troubleshooting I figured out along the way.
