Some new Mario Switch Online games are on the way. While Switch gamers everywhere all still sky high in the latest Zelda release, Nintendo has now announced some new additions to its Game Boy Advance Switch Online library. After a series of more obscure and let’s call it, cult classic-status additions to its growing online library of retro games, it’s time for everyone’s favorite plumber to get in on the action. After the launch of its Game Boy titles back in February that already featured quite a notable catalogue of games, Nintendo is now set to add three new Mario adventures to the list. After teasers surfaced yesterday, the brand new Mortal Kombat 1 has been officially unveiled. Set for releases in September, “a new era has begun.” The game will feature “a reborn Mortal Kombat Universe” to usher in a new era of the iconic fighting franchise with new battle mechanics, game modes, and an overhauled version of the infamous fatality system. It looks as though the pseudo-PlayStation E3 showcase has now been announced, and it’s going to be a big one. As promised by Nintendo yesterday, we are just hours away from our next look at The Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom. It might not be the second major Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Direct you were hoping for, but a new trailer is on the way. Today, Mattel and Velan Studios are announcing the all-new Hot Wheels: Rift Rally mixed-reality gaming experience, combining physical RC cars with augmented reality courses in which you will be able to race around. Zelda Tears of the Kingdom Switch console pre-orders will begin soon. Not to take anything away from the particular amazing looking Fuse system and crafting Nintendo highlighted in this morning’s gameplay video, but the new Zelda Tears of the Kingdom OLED Switch was easily one of the highlights of today’s official Nintendo presentation. While the price isn’t exactly anything to write home about, it’s not all that much more than the standard OLED model console (unless you buy it on sale anyway) and comes covered in a gorgeous Tears of the Kingdom-inspired paint job with golden Joy-Con. Today, the 2K Games in partnership with the LEGO Group is launching the latest brick-built video game. Hitting the road as something of a spiritual successor to the popular late ’90s game LEGO Racers, LEGO 2K Drive arrives with even more kart customization, co-op and online racing, and tons of courses to traverse when it launches on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X later this spring.

As we reported just over a year ago, Nintendo will sadly be shutting down the Wii U and 3DS eShop for good very soon. This will leave a massive collection of games in limbo for folks that don’t scoop them up before Monday – a sad and inevitable eventuality for some digital media.
