GameStop has decided it will not heed COVID-19-related government recommendations to close retail locations. After health officials across the country have issued orders to have all non-essential physical businesses closed in order to slow the spread of the Coronavirus outbreak, GameStop has instructed its employees to do just the opposite. In today’s best game deals, GameStop is offering Yakuza 0 for $29.99 with free shipping in orders over $35. The game still fetches nearly full price at Amazon and this is matching he lowest we have tracked. “Kiryu and Majima can each switch between three brutal hand-to-hand combat styles on the fly to create the most fluid beatdowns ever experienced in a Yakuza game.”
The used gaming market has been dominated by GameStop for quite some time. They normally can save you quite a few bucks on used older titles, though when it comes to newer titles, going used only saves around $5 off new MSRP.
We have already seen some very nice Black Friday 2016 game deals from the likes of Best Buy, Dell, Target and Toys R Us, and now GameStop’s 12-page flyer has surfaced online. As expected, we are seeing a number of PlayStation 4 and Xbox One S console bundles, along with deals on games and more.
It appears GameStop locations will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, but online deals will start on the 24th and run through the 27th. Brick and mortar locations will open on Friday the 25th at 5:00am, according to early leaks. The first 100 customers in each store on Friday will be receiving a Yo-Kai Watch Series 1 Blind Bag (with any purchase) and access to GameStop’s $1.99 T-shirt sale.

Starting today, HTC’s Vive VR headset is available to purchase direct from HTC at vive.com in at least 24 countries with the device expected to ship to customers in the next 2-3 days. And it’s also being made available to preorder at select retail partners including Microsoft Stores, GameStop and Micro Center with those orders expected to arrive beginning sometime this week.
On top of the discounted iTunes gift card we spotted this morning, PayPal’s official eBay Store is offering a load of price drops on gift cards today. We are seeing as much as 20% off at a wide range of retailers including GameStop, AMC Theatres, Michael’s and many more. Over the weekend Activision launched a new trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 as part of its official world reveal. Now that Black Friday is less than two weeks away, we are getting a look at what major national game retailer GameStop will have to offer. The leaked ad shows discounts on everything from consoles to games, with over 4,000 stores open at midnight on November 28th.
For the most part, it looks as though GameStop will be matching Best Buy, Walmart and others with the major PS4 bundles at $400 and the Xbox One bundles starting at $330. But keep in mind, Sony announced the The Last of Us/GTA V bundle for $400 as an official price drop and should soon be available on Amazon. You’ll also find $20 to $30 off games on all platforms as well as discounts on accessories and older systems.
Just in time for the Black Friday deal season, Microsoft announced a $50 price drop coming to all major retailers for Xbox One consoles and bundles last week. While most stores ended up offering the deal early on some bundles, we are now seeing the discounts live across a number of retailers including Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, Microsoft Store, Walmart, Target and more.
Starting at $349 for the entry level Xbox One without Kinect, Microsoft’s latest console is now $50 under the regular price of Sony’s PlayStation 4.
