More details on the Cyberpunk 2077 for PS4 and Xbox One debacle have come to light. Sony and CD Projekt Red made a difficult, albeit needed, decision to completely remove the game from Sony’s digital storefront yesterday evening, leaving the fate of the most highly-anticipated game in recent memory up in the air once again. The previous-generation version of the game suffers immensely from horrible visual fidelity and a laundry list of bugs, leading CDPR to announce refunds on Cyberpunk 2077 for PS4 and Xbox One. However, after players were having a hard time doing so, especially on PlayStation, it looks like the move to remove the game from PSN might actually help the cause. Head below for more details. 

A new Cyberpunk 2077 Death Stranding update is now adding some interesting new wrinkles and goodies to the latest Hideo Kojima title. Yes, you read that correctly. A crossover campaign between CD Projekt Red and the Hideo Kojima camp is bringing a series of Cyberpunk 2077-themed in-game items, abilities and content into Death Stranding. Amazon Prime members can now score some free Fall Guys content for PC and PlayStation. Nintendo has announced the next batch of Switch Online NES and SNES titles headlined by Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong’s Double Trouble. Cyberpunk 2077 refunds are now available for players not happy with the previous-generation console performance. Sony has now dropped some new details for PlayStation 5 launch day sales. PS5 pre-orders were admittedly an unmitigated disaster back in September when the units were scheduled to go live. Very few units were available and subsequently, not many folks were able to secure one for the holidays. But as we previously reported, PlayStation 5 launch day sales are expected to go live next week and Sony has confirmed as much on its official blog today. NBA 2K developer Visual Concepts has taken to its official blog today to outline the new NBA 2K21 City hub world. Coming with the next-generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox One S/X versions of the game, the former “Neighborhood” hub will be transforming into a larger scale setup known as “The City.” Adding a series of new gameplay modes into what is essentially a sort of multiplayer open-world hub for the latest NBA 2K game, it will feature various factions to align with, driveway pick-up games, NPCs, and much more. Amazon will now be shipping out random orders in special edition Super Mario packaging. As part of the titular hero’s 35th Anniversary, Nintendo has teamed up with Amazon to create a historical splash page for the Mushroom Kingdom as well as the limited edition packaging. The special edition Amazon Nintendo packaging will be hitting doorsteps throughout the month of November, but purchasing Nintendo gear on Amazon won’t guarantee you score it. More details below.

Spider-Man: Miles Morales — the follow-up to the 2018 Marvel’s Spider-Man title — is getting some interesting Into the Spider-Verse crossover content. The film essentially put Miles’ iteration of the web-slinging hero on the map for the masses, and developer Insomniac has decided to bring his iconic red and black suit into next month’s release of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. We got our first look at Final Fantasy XVI last month as part of the PlayStation 5 game’s showcase. The lengthy “Awakening” trailer Sony showcased gave us a good look at the game’s characters, setting, cutscenes, and enemies, but details on the experience were thin at best. Since then, Square Enix has updated the official site with a host of new details on the game world and characters just before the game’s producer, Naoki Yoshida, took to the official PlayStation Blog to offer even more information on the protagonists, summons, and more.
