Razer has been my personal go-to when it comes to gaming peripherals for many years. The company recently brought its optical technology to the Viper mouse, providing “triple your [normal] actuation speed”. Today, Razer announced the Huntsman Tournament Edition compact gaming keyboard. This new keyboard also sports ultra-fast light-activated Optical Switches. This brings the best feature of the Huntsman Elite to a more compact, tournament-style keyboard, with one slight improvement. The Huntsman Tournament Edition features an all-new type of switch that’s even faster than before, dubbed the Razer Linear Optical Switch.

Depending on your age, you’re either astonished that SEGA Dreamcast is 20 years old today or it’s a relic unfamiliar to your gaming knowledge. There were plenty of consoles before it and certainly a steady stream since. But SEGA’s late ’90s gem set the stage for the next generation of gaming in a number of ways. It offered improvements on the foundation PlayStation had set before it and served as a jumping-off point for the following decade. So 20 years later we’re left to reflect on all that was good about the Dreamcast and hope only that SEGA will give it the retro console reboot we’ve seen from so many other beloved gaming icons…

NBA fans know that over the last decade or so, there’s only been one option when it came to a true virtual basketball simulation. 2K Studios has enjoyed leader of the pack status for some time now with its basketball franchise, while competitors like NBA Live have fallen to the wayside. While Madden and FIFA have healthy followings, no video game release enjoys the same type of annual fervor quite like 2K Day. With a huge portion of NBA rosters turning over this summer following an unforgettable stretch of free agency, the hype was through the roof for the latest edition of NBA 2K. The 2019-20 version is set for launch today and that means it’s time to share my thoughts on the latest edition, which I’ve been able to play for the past few days.
